Annual Big Bay Boom July 4 Fireworks Show
Location: San Diego Bay
Time: 9:00 pm
The “Big” in the big bay boom isn’t a lie—this show is the largest display in San Diego County. And, it’s easy to see why as fireworks are launched from four barges, creating quite the fireworks display. Spectators can see the display from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero and Seaport Village. In addition, accompanying patriotic music is simulcast on THE MIGHTY 1090 AM and MAX FM 105.7.

Ocean Beach July 4th Celebration
Location: Ocean Beach Pier
Time: 9:00 pm
You can make a whole day of fun out of the Ocean Beach 4th of July Celebration. Spend your day playing in the ocean, enjoying a seaside picnic and shopping on Newport Avenue before settling down to watch the fireworks at sunset.
Old Town 4th of July
Location: Old Town State Historic Park
Time: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
There aren’t any firework displays at Old Town but it’s still a fun place to spend the afternoon in America’s Independence Day. A parade, crafts, activities, and even old-fashioned contexts like an egg-toss and cherry pit-spitting are planned.
SeaWorld San Diego 4th of July Fireworks
Time: 9:40 pm
Venture to San Diego’s favorite theme park to enjoy a 15-minute firework display. The park has extended hours on July 4th, so you can play from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
4th of July Celebration in Coronado
Location: Throughout Coronado
Time: 7:00 am to 9:00 pm
Coronado has a whole day of fun available for families, from a parade down Orange Avenue at 10:00 am to a concert in Spreckels Park at 4:00 pm. In addition, there is a 12K run and 5K run/walk as well as military demonstrations. Fireworks start at 9:00 pm sharp.
San Diego County Fair 4th of July
Location: Del Mar Fairgrounds
Time: 10:00 am to 9:00 pm
The fairgrounds play host to an array of activities on July 4th, from watermelon seed spitting to pie eating and pig racing contests. Stay for end-of-the-night fireworks to cap your day off with a spectacular blast!
Red, White and Boom!
Time: 8:30 pm
Spend July 4th building memories with your family at LEGOLAND before enjoying a fantastic firework show at the park.
Oceanside Fireworks Show
Location: Oceanside Boulevard and Rancho del Oro Road
Time: 6 pm to 10 pm
Celebrate Independence Day one day early, on July 3, at the Oceanside Fireworks Show. Food trucks will be open starting at 6 pm with the fireworks display starting at 9 pm.
La Jolla Cove 4th of July Fireworks
Location: Ellen Browning Scripps Park
Time: 9 pm
This free event features sunset views and a stunning fireworks display.
San Marcos 4th of July Celebration
Location: Bradley Park
Time: 6 pm to 9 pm
“Celebrate Freedom, a Fireworks Extravaganza” is a San Diego 4th of July event featuring live music by Liquid Blue, food concessions, and children’s activities like face painting and carnival games. Fireworks begin at 9 pm.
Vista Independence Day Celebration
Location: Moonlight Amphitheatre at Brengle Terrace Park
Time: 7 pm to 10 pm
Live music, a salute to the military and a stunning fireworks display are the highlights of this paid event. Admission is $5 per person. Music by the Mar Dels starts at 7:35 pm.
Escondido Independence Day Festival & Fireworks
Location: California Center for the Arts
Time: 4 pm to 9:30 pm
Over 20,000 patriotic people flock to this free event featuring live music, food vendors, children’s activities and so much more. Fireworks start at 9 pm.
Mira Mesa 4th of July Celebration
Location: Mira Mesa Community Park
Time: 7 am to 9:30 pm
Start your day early with a pancake breakfast from 7 am to 11 am then watch the parade at 11:30 am before attending the Family Fun Day in the Park. Stay late for fireworks, starting at 9 pm.
Old Fashioned 4th of July in Poway
Location: Old Poway Park/Poway High School
Time: 10 am to 10 pm
Attend the annual Old Fashioned 4th from 10 am to 4 pm at Poway Park. Then, make your way to Poway High School for a night of music, food, and fireworks.
El Cajon 4th of July Picnic and Fireworks
Location: Kennedy Park
Time: 2 pm to 9 pm
This free community event features food, games, rides and more, with live entertainment beginning at 3 pm and fireworks starting at 9 pm.
Location: Town Center Community Park
Time: 2:30 pm to 10 pm
Live music, a patriotic ceremony, kid’s fun zone, food vendors and a spectacular fireworks display are all part of the fun planned for Santee Salutes. Admission is free but parking ranges from $5-15. However, you can park at Costco and ride the shuttle for free from 3:30 pm to 11 pm.
Lake Murray Fireworks
Location: Lake Murray Community Park
Time: 11 am to 9 pm
A full day of music will be followed by an amazing firework display at Lake Murray. Admission is free.
Imperial Beach Independence Day Fireworks
Location: Imperial Beach Pier
Time: 4 pm to 9 pm

Independence Day at the Border
Location: Larsen Field
