Boomers Parks Partners with Tripster for Vacation Packages

Boomers Parks, the parent company of six family entertainment centers and two water parks located in California, Florida, and New Jersey, has expanded its partnership with online booking partner, Tripster, to offer vacation packages.  Utilizing Tripster’s white label platform, Boomers Parks can now present to potential visitors bundled packages that include their experiences, other experiences in their markets, and lodging.

Tripster’s white label service enables its partners to customize and feature tickets, rooms, and packages all under the partner’s brand (as an extension of their own website).  The packaging feature, in particular, provides its partners the ability to both benefit from the brand association as well as the value benefit of opaque, packaged pricing.

“It’s an innovative way to present new offers and convert more online sales,” stated Rodney Levy, Vice President of Business Development at Tripster.  “Packaging allows our partners to use opaque pricing and take advantage of the same offered by Tripster’s other experience and hotel partners, collectively creating savings for a consumer without competing with their standalone ticket purchases.”

20 Years of Partner Packaging

Partners like Boomers Parks are able to feature packages on their website(s), social media platforms, and email marketing efforts, effectively gaining added content and offers to encourage new and return visit bookings.  Tripster has offered its white label service for more than 20 years, working with partners like Herschend Family Entertainment, Ripleys Aquariums, and Titanic Museums, among many other popular attractions and experiences across the U.S.

In addition to ticketed partners, Tripster also provides similar services for lodging partners, where they can pair their hotel rooms with area attractions and feature these packages on their websites.  Tripster has more than 300 hotels nationwide utilizing this service.

For more information about the Boomers Parks white label or how Tripster can provide a solution for your experience or hotel sales efforts, please contact Rodney Levy (rodney@tripster.com).

Tripster (tripster.com) launched its original travel site in 2001, including an industry-first experiences extranet.  In its 22 years of operation, it has expanded its features and integrated with leading travel brands, resulting in over $600 million in online bookings to over 1.7 million consumers.  Tripster is owned and operated by Reserve Direct Inc., a privately held Nevada corporation by its original founders.

Tripster Launches a Digital Travel Guide in Partnership with GettinLocal

The online travel company, Tripster, launches a new digital app that provides users with a dynamic hyperlocal discovery guide that utilizes state-of-the-art geo-fence technology to bring local attractions, tours, museums, restaurants, and more directly to the user’s fingertips. Download the app.

Branson, Missouri, April 16, 2022 – Tripster announces the launch of a new mobile booking application that was released this month in both the iOS App Store and Google Play store. The Tripster app, developed by the technology company, GettinLocal utilizes a white-label platform to highlight Tripster experience and hotel partners.

“The GettinLocal app, by itself, provides a comprehensive directory for travelers, especially when in-market.  Our ability to piggyback that platform with a custom branded version presents an opportunity to extend our booking services into the entire customer journey, building more value to their overall experience with Tripster.” said John Johnson, Tripster’s Founder and CEO.

The Tripster App will feature not only the many experiences offered by Tripster, but also added travel-related services, such as restaurant reservations, health, and wellness, shopping, nightlife, and more. In addition, in partnership with GettinLocal, and their other experience providers, the App will reach destinations and things to do beyond Tripster’s directly contracted network for a consumer-first approach.

“We are thrilled that Tripster is partnering with GettinLocal to license and develop their new mobile app through its white-label platform, Powered by GettinLocal. This partnership combines our proprietary mobile application platform and location-based marketing technology with Tripsters’ wide array of hotels, experiences, attractions, and vacation packages. We are excited to witness how Tripsters’ new mobile app will elevate their current reach by making it more accessible and appealing to existing and new consumers- particularly when they arrive at the destination,” said Vito Pagano, GettinLocal’s Founder and CEO.

ACTIVITIES CHANNEL MANAGEMENT SERVICE, INGRESSSO, CONNECTS WITH TRIPSTER

Tour and Activity Partners of Ingresso Can Now Benefit from a New Dynamic Integration with Tripster

Las Vegas, Nevada, December 7, 2021 – The U.S.-based online travel agency, Tripster, is pleased to partner with Ingresso, a global distribution platform that connects customers with the world’s best entertainment content. The partnership allows end-to-end connectivity for travel operators to dynamically manage their resell accounts, including rates and availability as well as digital fulfillment. The two tour and activity-based services can now more proficiently manage fulfillment for mutual operators.

“We are excited to expand our connectivity with Ingresso,” said John Johnson, CEO and Founder of Tripster. “Fueled by our partnership with Merlin Entertainments, we quickly discovered Ingresso has an expansive operator list with much crossover that will benefit us as a reseller.”

Ingresso, a channel management service for tour and activity operators, provides ticketing technology through seamless distribution between travel products and resell agencies. The company, owned by Accesso, operates worldwide and has previously connected with online travel agencies such as Viator, GetYourGuide and Tiqets.

The partnership adds to Tripster’s growing list of connectivity partners that now include Redeam, Rezdy, FareHarbor and Galaxy Connect. As Ingresso’s distribution system seamlessly integrates with global ticketing systems, Tripster strengthens its growing access to potential customers.

What separates Tripster from other activity resellers is its ability to package experiences with lodging. Lodging suppliers can maximize sales by utilizing Tripster’s packaging service that bundles their room with activities. To that end, other hotel equivalent channel managers that have connected with Tripster include Sabre Synxis, TravelClick, Siteminder and property management systems.

The connectivity with Ingresso reduces management time for Tripster operators while providing customers with more accurate and efficient reservations. This direct feed of traveler supplier data enhances the experience for suppliers as real-time data exchange improves the accuracy of pricing and availability.

Tripster was founded in 2001 as a destination-specific travel planning service specializing in tour and activity resell and has since evolved into an industry-leading platform for experience bookings. Using proprietary technology, Tripster offers travelers the ability to dynamically book, in real-time, direct-to-gate tickets in itinerary or package form to provide value from whole trip booking. Now featuring more than 30 North American destinations, Tripster has sold over five million tickets to over 1,400 experience partners, including tours, museums, theme parks, outdoor adventure, live shows, aquariums, zoos, cruises and many more.

The Original Experienced-based OTA, Reserve Direct, Consolidates; Rebrands as Tripster

New Brand Aligns with Company’s Focus on Experience-Based Travel

Saint Louis, MO – Reserve Direct, an online travel agency (OTA) specializing in tours and activities in over 20 destinations across the U.S. and Canada, announced effective May 1, 2019 that the company is operating under a new name—Tripster. The new brand better relates its services to make experience-based travel simple and affordable to its 1.2m+ customers that use their websites to plan, book and review more than 1,400 experiences over the past 18 years.

tripster_reveal_01_4

“We are truly excited to be at this moment,” said John Johnson, CEO and President of Tripster.  “When it all began, I’m not certain we envisioned the growth we’ve experienced,” continued Johnson.  He added, “We are grateful for our travel supplier partnerships and equally grateful that we’ve been able to build something that, as Tripsters ourselves, helps travelers make the most of their trips, big or small.”

Up until now, the company operated independent destination websites for every market they promoted, including websites like Reserve Branson (the company’s original destination), Reserve Orlando, Reserve Pigeon Forge, and Reserve San Diego, among its 20+ additional destinations, each featuring exclusive content and products.  The content is now consolidated into a single platform under one national brand with newly added features to search and discover more experiences.

When Johnson founded the company in 2001, they were one of the first to provide the tour and activity market with an extranet-based inventory and rate management system, whereby amusement parks, theater shows, outdoor adventure, museums, and the like could directly manage and distribute their products through the company’s B2C destination websites.  Since then, their system has evolved to address the multitude of complex variables related to the booking of hundreds of different types of activities.

The tour and activity segment itself has become an industry buzz in the past few years. With the acquisition of Viator by TripAdvisor (founded only one year ahead of Reserve Direct) and new companies that have come into the space such as GetYourGuide (2008), Musement (2013), and more recently Tiqets (2014), Tripster looks to place themselves within that same conversation.

Over their history, the company has also worked to develop the connectivity to work with its over 2,000 domestic travel partners.  From hotel channel management systems such as Sabre Synxis, TravelClick, and SiteMinder, to ticketing platforms for tours & activities like FareHarbor, Rezdy, Gateway, and Omni Ticket, the company makes the order process dynamic for both suppliers and travelers.

Tripster also provides a white label platform, giving its partners the ability to bundle area activities and/or hotels in a variety of ways. And because the white labels are designed with the partners’ brand, they can sell vacation packages, post-purchase product upsells, all while adding value for their own customers without investing in their own ecommerce solutions. This has been especially successful with its travel suppliers in markets where they can bundle their own products with other area experiences.

To date, the company has processed over $350 million in domestic, experience-based travel.  This equates to more than 1.8m individual bookings for travel products from upwards of 220,000 purchases annually.  With year over year gross bookings growth and the third year in a row of more than 15% growth in both orders and revenue, 2018 marked the company’s best year to date by exceeding $41m in gross sales.

ABOUT TRIPSTER
Tripster is wholly-owned and operated by Reserve Direct, Inc., a private, Nevada-based corporation.  Founded in 2001, the company promotes and sells travel products in over 20 different markets across the U.S. and Canada.  The company has offices in St Louis and Branson, Missouri with over 40 employees.

Tripster & Walt Disney World Launch Varied Rate Tickets

Saint Louis, Missouri – November 6, 2018   October 12th, 2018, Walt Disney World introduced a completely new ticketing strategy centered on date specific, varied pricing for admission to their Orlando theme parks.  Along with that strategy came a new ticketing platform designed to manage the new pricing scheme, as well as their third-party distribution. As a leading Walt Disney World reseller, Tripster was selected to simultaneously launch the new varied rate strategy and ticketing system for its consumers and white label partners.

In part, the goal to this ticketing strategy is to encourage consumers to attend the parks during lower traffic days of the week or less busy times of the year. As a result, tickets themselves are no longer valid for entry any time but rather for specific dates of use enabling the park to gauge park traffic in advance and potentially steer guests to lower attendance dates.  This, of course, makes buying tickets less flexible and a bit more complex.

Tripster, a partner of Walt Disney World for over 10 years, is one of the limited resell partners to adopt this new technology, launching in tandem with the Park’s official introduction.  A technology-focused destination booking engine, Reserve Direct features Walt Disney World on its site and on over 50 white labels where the product is packaged with local hotels and other area activities and attractions.

“It’s an exciting concept offering per day, varied pricing for a theme park.,” stated John Johnson, CEO and President of Tripster.  “And, while it was no small undertaking technology-wise, we were excited to be a part of it from inception through its launch. Our consumers and just as importantly, our white label partners, didn’t skip a beat in the transition.”

About Tripster

Since 2001, Tripster has provided more than 3 million travelers with travel planning and reservation services for ticketed events, world-renowned theme parks, area attractions, tours, theatrical shows, as well as hotels and lodging in 20 destinations across the country.
