The Ocean Beach Chili Cook Off competition is a can’t-miss! This highly anticipated event brings together home cooks, local chefs, and chili enthusiasts for a day filled with delicious comfort food and community fun. Sign up here if you want to show off your cooking skills and win the $300 prize money, plus enjoy bragging rights.
If eating delicious chili-infused dishes is more of your thing, then you can still join the fun by participating in the tasting event, where you’ll cast a vote together with the judges. The event gives the Hottest Chili Judges Award, and the Grand Prize.

Head to the event area located between Newport Avenue and the Pacific to experience the Chili CookOff Ocean Beach. The tastingand chili judging start from 11 AM to 1:30 PM.

Attention, wing lovers! It’s time to get ready for a finger-licking, sauce-smearing competition that will put your appetite and competitive spirit to the test. Sign up here if you believe you’re meant to be the next OB Dirty Birds Wing Eating Contest champion. The proceeds will go to the OBMA’s Friends of OB Clean & Safe Program.
Beachside Beer Garden & Hodad’s Burger Eating Contest
Sip an ice cold brew and soak in the ocean view when you make your way to the Beachside Beer Garden. On that, you’ll get to watch Hodad’s Burger Eating Contest held on the MainStage. See the reigning champion defend his title and compete against 9 other contestants. The contest runs from 4:30- 5 PM.

Three stages vibrate with energetic sounds of talented musicians and bands from various genres. From foot-stomping rock to soulful country music, the air at Ocean Beach Park comes alive with lively sounds.

The fair features a vast collection of artisan and vendor booths, where you can browse and shop an assortment of unique arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, and other local products. Support the local and small shops and find one-of-a-kind treasures when you drop by the Artists Alley.
Community Mural
Channel your inner artist and be a part of something beautiful by joining the Community Mural at the Ocean Beach Fair. There’s no need to bring your paint and brushes as they will provide all the materials. Make sure to come early as the “squares” or the spot sell out quickly. Each square cost $20.
Seaside Family Fun Zone
Come with your children as there will be plenty of entertainment options tailored to younger guests, including the Seaside Family Fun Zone. From inflatables to crafts, there's no shortage of activities to keep the youngsters engaged and smiling throughout the event.
