"Nice place to stay"

I’ve stayed here a couple of times and have already made reservations to go back for another stay. Service has always been excellent. The staff very friendly and competent. Very convenient location—especially when going to Miller Symphony Hall. For me the decor is too modern. I prefer more old world charm such as the Hotel Bethlehem—but that’s just me, my wife likes it. My only real complaint is that there really isn’t a good work surface in the room. There’s a “ledge” along one wall which you can setup a laptop but it’s way too small for any extended work needs.

"Overnight in Allentown"

We needed a place to stay that was fairly close to Kutztown University as our son was playing in the football game. I took a chance and booked this hotel. Am I glad I did! From start to finish, front desk to the onsite restaurant, the staff was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the area, helpful, and were happy to assist in anyway they could. The decor of the room we were in stayed true to the industrial feel of the area. Only complaint would be the sliding door which enclosed the bathroom. It didn’t seem to shut all the way, and was not as private as I would have liked. Our breakfast buffet was so delicious. There weren’t any pancakes at the buffet, and sure enough our server was happy to accommodate me and bring me some. I would say this is a great place to stay if in the area.

Honestly, I should have reviewed this hotel sooner, this property is hands down one of my favorites. Excellent bar, great view, great location, great service, and convenient despite being in the center of Allentown. A little pricey, but worth it.

Stayed overnight on a business trip. The design and decor were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was perfect for a late meal and a game on the television. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

"Numerous visits - one of my preferred Marriott properties"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed August 19, 2019
For better or worse I sleep 180-200 nights a year in a hotel - and most of them, at a Marriott property. I have earned the highest level of Marriotts reward program - "Titanium" - and I travel so much, I've earned "Titanium for life". This doesn't make me a special person - just a person that knows hotels, particularly Marriott. (It may also mean I live a somewhat pathetic life style because I'm so often away from home - but thats another story). Ive had the opportunity to stay at this property 6 times and once it was for 26 days ... so I know it well. It's one of my favorite Marriott locations and in one of my favorite cities to visit (yes, I just said that Allentown is one of my favorite cities to visit!). The rooms are modern, clean and well kept. The concierge lounge is well maintained and stocked. I particularly like the restaurant/bar area and their outstanding craft beer and cocktail selection and the high degree of consistent, standardized service. Bed is comfy, toiletries are fine. Bed linen and towels are ready for a refresh for sure. The piped in too cool for school background music gets a bit repetitive. Self-parking is a hassle. Valet parking is the way to go - but they can get backed up sometimes and it can be hectic if there is a game or concert next door. Would I come back - certainly, and look forward to it!
