"First time at Universal"
July 2019 NEW
Bought a 2 day 2 park pass; checking in through kiosk was quick and easy (but you must have a credit card matching the name on the order); Wish we had bought the express passes as the lines were 90 min plus wait so we didn't get to do as much as we wanted to. Would like to go back and spend time at City Walk. Didn't even know that was a thing until we were there. Beautiful park, kept very clean.

"All the marvel Characters was amazing"
July 2019 NEW
Universal Studio Florida was the best theme park, we have ever visited.
My Two sons' and I can't wait to go back again this summer on our next family vacation.
Universal Studio Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure went above and beyond to make sure every child had amazing experience.
When Captain America and Spider-man at Universal's Islands of Adventure, walked up to my son and gave him a high five.
My son almost, passed out he is a huge fan of Captain America and Spiderman
He was so star struck, by his favorite marvel super hero.
And then we, rolled the spider-man ride inside of a theater it was awesome.
To every marvel character, who went above and beyond to meet with my son.
Thank You, he has so many amazing memories to last a lifetime!

"Great time, great weather, some long wait times"
April 2019
Overall my family had a great time and the weather was almost perfect (sunny, 86-89). There were a few longer than usual wait times (front gate, food) and we had to get the Express pass for Saturday, but Mon-Tues no problem. Harry Potter is still the best from both parks.

Tip: You cannot take the Harry Potter train if you have the base tickets. Plan on long waits on Saturday unless you get the Express Pass. They let you bring in unopened water and Gatorade.

"Hagrid rules"

Second visit to Universal Islands having been four years ago. We were in five or six times. It is an excellent park and we had a great time again, went on everything. Number one piece of advise is to go single rider on everything. The first time on a ride you want to be immersed in the story as you get on. But after that? Just go single rider it is amazing how few people do it on many rides. Wait times are usually about one third of the headline time on average. But can be as low as a fifth or ‘walk straight on’. It is the way to do it. Undoubted highlight -Hagrid. Awesome fun. We went first thing, in park at 8.40 and when opened straight into queue when the rides opened. We were told it was a three hour wait. Branched off into single rider at the building - we were on the ride in an hour. An excellent well themed ride. Go as the motorcycle driver if possible. We all came off smiling and giving it 11 out of 10. A well designed ride. On the minus was Kong which was a bit of a disappointment, it was being built when we were here before. Just not immersive, these ‘big truck’ rides are just not immersive and personal, you don’t know where to look and the whole thing passes you by. Compare to minions or jimmy fallon in the other park, which, though perhaps more family friendly and ‘childish’ rides, were much better rides to this 43 year old. Or Spider-Man, is is a very personal experience. Hopefully new rides will follow that layout rather than the big truck format. Anyway it is a great place and we go on many of the rides multiple times, great fun. Probably at its best with ten years plus children. I am sure we will be back some year in the future.

First visit for about 5 years and whilst they still have some of the old favorites they have added some new rides as well , you are always going to have to queue so as long as you are prepared you can get to ride everything over the course of the day . loved the harry potter ride although the new Hagrid ride was having issues so queues were stupidly long and we didn't bother in the end which was a shame , love the Hulk coaster and Dudley water falls where you get absolutely soaking wet, great day out and definitely worth the visit

"Great for all ages"

Honestly, enjoyed it more than universal studios. Hugeeee Harry Potter fan, so wizarding world was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation. There were definitely loads of thrilling rides for older children, like the hulk coaster. It was also ideal for younger children, as the whole of Seuss landing was amazing for the younger generation, with its exciting carousel and intriguing cat in the hat ride. Harry Potter and the forbidden journey was probably my favourite ride I’ve ever rode. I love most virtual reality rides, but it included features I’ve never seen before that really made the ride. Hogsmeade was spectacular and the frozen butter beer was absolutely delicious.

"Great Park, Great Imagination"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed July 22, 2019 NEW
Universal's Islands of Adventure is an very good park in the theme park rich environment of Orlando. When it comes to the attractions, I have to give the park an excellent rating, because it's amazing to make areas of the park so real, that you are amazed by the engineering and the craftsmanship and imaginative. Most lines are long, unless you have the "Express Pass" ($70/person extra). There are a couple of attractions that use "virtual lines" where you can sign up for a reservation on the park's app. My biggest complaint is that Universal doesn't do enough to keep the customer cool during the hot summer months. They have a great opportunity here to improve keeping the customer cool so they don't want leave early due to being just plain tired of enduring the heat. If Universal had done a better job at this, then I would have given them an excellent rating.
