"Best Day of My Life!!"
March 2020
Amazing park!! Surprisingly not super crowded. Food, music, rides, atmosphere all fit for kids and adults alike. Loved Happy Potter Wizarding World and the delicious food at the Leaky Cauldron. Even though my husband lost his phone on a ride, the lost and found team was able to get it back to us. Never thought that would happen. We stayed ALL DAY and into the night. I could not have been happier with spending Christmas day in Universal!!

"5 Day Universal pass"
February 2020
We Bought a 5 day park to park pass from Tripster and collected tickets through will call with out an issue. First day we visited Universal studios and this has Diagon Alley, and Kings Cross station with platform 9 and 3/4. which is very popular for the Harry Potter fans. The Simpson fans will also like it here with the Simspon ride, Moes, the kwiki mart and you can eat food from the eateries that are on the simpsons like the famous Krusty burger and sample a Duff Beer. Island of Adventure has Hogsmeade and you can catch the hogworts express from universal studios to island of adventure Hogsmeade if you have a park to park pass. the ride is different depending on which way you travel. Plan you trip to get there at 9 and go for the HP rides first up as you will still have about a 1 and half hour wait if you dont have a fast pass. having a 5 day pass we did all rides and didnt mind the queues. We visited Volcano Bay on one day to break things up and had a good time relaxing doing the water rides with out the extremely long queues. They use a watch that acts as your card and can hold spots in the queue and you can purchase using it so you dont need money in your pocket. We enjoyed the universal orlando resort over Disney on this trip.

Tip: Get there at 9 so you can get into the lines for the major actractions or purchase a fast pass if you have limited time.

"Amazing Trip from Tripster"
January 2020
We loved our trip to Universal!! We had to shift our date last minute due to unforeseen family issues. Tripster refunded us fully and set us up for a new date with no trouble at all! Was so helpful and accommodating - the park was so much fun, so glad we got the two day pass so we could explore in some time and not rush our vacation. We rode every ride and got there nice and early for Harry Potter World. No need for fastpass if you go in the offseason.

"Great experience, but too many technical delays in popular rides"
January 2020
It was my first time going to such a resort, and I was amazed by how much there was to do and how fun it was. However, after two days of seeing it I felt like I saw everything that was worth it. Needless to say, since I bought 5 days, I went on most rides multiple times.
The very popular rides (all Harry Potter, Transformers, Spiderman, Hulk, Kong) have long lines and special single rider lines. The single rider lines are much shorter, but you are missing out on interesting decorations/movies/experiences, so I also went in the regular lines to see those things.
For people without children, the must experience rides in my opinion are: Hagrid, Forbidden Journey, Escape from the Gringotts, Transformers, Skull Island - Kong, Spiderman, Hulk, Hollywood Rockit, The Simpsons, Ripley Falls, Shrek... Ok, all Thrill and 3D & 4D things are must see, but above are the most memorable IMO.
Don't forget to download the Universal Orlando app to see wait times and maps, set alarms for low wait times and such things.
It is also important to get the Park to park pass to go on the Hogsmeade train, an enjoyable experience and it is different in each of the 2 stations. the King's Cross has the magical mirror where it seems you go through the wall.
Some of the Kid rides are super nice too, like E.T. and Minions.
Long story short, most things are worth seeing. As for shows, the Poseidon one really impressed me.
Volcano Bay was really underwhelming after going to the main parks, the only things worth experiencing are Krakatau aqua coaster, Maku of Maku and Puihi of Maku, then the ika Moana ones.
...
I liked Universal a lot, so I ended up upgrading to a 1 year Seasonal Pass...

Everyone should check out my video of the raptor encounter: https://youtu.be/lzqR-PkH9b8
If the link doesn't work, search for "Making velociraptor jealous by flirting with its trainer- Blue raptor encounter at Universal Studios".
P.S.: If the raptor trainer sees this, call me

Universal islands of adventure , wow , my first time going and myself and the family just loves this place !!!! It is that amazing , the lands were so incredibly well done and creative and they definately did them justice ! Harry Potter land omg one of the best I have ever seen and I’m not a fan but wow was it ever amazing !!! Packed but I totally get why ! Besides the Harry Potter ride as that one of course has a huge wait time the rest of the park the longest we waited was 20 mins and sometimes as less as 5 mins . Which blew us away considering Disney you wait like 2 hrs per ride . The hulk coaster omg incredible so much fun went on it a few times . Dr Seuss land OMG absolutely incredible . So amazing so much fun so well detailed absolutely loved it . Jurassic park same thing it was that awesome and the ride so much fun ..... I love this place !!!! King Kong ride don’t miss it so cool . I mean seriously way better than Disney by far in my opinion . This place surpassed all expectations . The picture package is great I recommend for sure and get the one meal deal you get a meal plus fries and milkshake and any dessert so worth the price . This place just blew my mind , absolutely incredible , definately don’t miss out go here for sure you won’t regret it !!!!

Another amazing trip to Islands of Adventure. Some areas are a bit dated but there are some changes happening to update the park and add new rides. TBH the Harry Potter area is the standout star of the park as it stands at the moment.

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure were the two theme parks I was most excited about visiting, and they didn't disappoint. Having previously only experienced UK theme parks and Disneyland Paris, I didn't have anything to compare what these parks would be like. How brilliant they are, especially the amazing ride experiences at Islands of Adventure. Unfortunately due to my waistline, there were one or two rides I could not experience, but I enjoyed what I was able to experience so much that I am now on a weight loss programme so that when we re-visit next September, I won't have that trouble again. Top picks of the rides I was able to ride: Amazing Adventures of Spiderman - This is on another level of ride experience the like of which I have never been on before. The immersive sets, the crystal clear 3D projections, the pyrotechnics and effects were all absolutely incredible. Jurassic Park River Adventure - I have wanted to ride this ride since I was about 10 years old, and wow it did not disappoint. Though some of the animatronics may have seen better days, the finale scene and plummet is exhilarating! Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls - If you want to get soaked on a water ride, I would recommend riding this! Again, in the UK our log flumes and wet rides are a bit tamer because we don't have the kind of weather that facilitates the need for people getting absolutely soaked. Not in Orlando however! I was soaked to the skin for hours after riding this! Poseidon's Fury - Reading about it after visiting, a lot of people seem to really hate on this walk-through show attraction. But going into it with absolutely no expectations, we both loved this show! The special effects are great, not to spoil anything but there are moments where you walk through the special effects, or where things disappear to reveal other things! I unfortunately wasn't able to ride either of the Harry Potter themed rides in Hogsmead (Forbidden Journey, Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure), the Hulk Coaster or Doctor Doom's FearFall. Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges was closed for refurbishment so we didn't have the opportunity of riding that either. However, the park is big enough, with lots of other smaller rides and attractions that I didn't really feel like I was missing out on a lot. We had three park tickets so used the Hogwarts Express to travel between parks and it was so much fun! Overall, there is nothing else quite like Islands of Adventure and I cannot wait to go back again!
