"Very Amazing & must place to visit"
January 2020 NEW
Universal Studios Hollywood is a very amazing place where you will experience the wonderful shows and rides.

We enjoyed below shows & rides:

Harry Potter
Jurassic World
The Transformers
Simpsons
Water World
Minions

Last but not the least - Studio Tour.
It was a very good experience and as far as I know, it is only present in Los Angeles as this is the only place where they have the sets where the shooting of hollywood movies take place.

"not great"
July 2019
Way too many people, especially for a Thursday. They just pushed and shoved their way around the park. Super long wait times to do rides. Won't be going back. Not worth it.

It was an excellent trip. Our entire family had a great experience in Universal Studios. We enjoyed Tour, Set stores, pet training, sound and animation details, etc . Food is not costly inside, except that all are all really good and honest.

Went with two teenagers. Great fun and comfortably got round the whole park in one day, plan to get there at opening time. Will mention we did go mid-Jan2020 which is low season due to it being winter and USA kids back a school. Weather was perfect for us.

The studio tour was a big highlight. Especially the added touch of Norman. The guide was fab, really funny. I was so excited to be on the set of The Good Place. The rides are good but not really for adrenaline junkies, they are tame. More for the experience than the thrill. We had a really good day.

It was on my Grandsons list so we did it & he loved it. But I had been before (about 20 yrs ago) and they still have the same Back Stage Tour as then! Maybe the King Kong has been slightly changed but that’s it. The rest looked very, very tired. The Jurassic Ride was still basically the same but we did that twice! This ride gets you wet, and I mean wet. Rain ponchos were $10 each and $5 for a locker! All the other rides, Harry Potter etc offers free lockers. After paying around $130 NZ each to get in I thought that was a bit over the top. January was a good time to go as the crowd was not big and not a long wait time for rides. Harry Potter ride was awesome as were the others. Lots for younger children too. Food was average but you are able to take in food and drinks. The walk into the gates through a street of shops and restaurants is new since I was last there and a great selection. Children love the experience and that’s what it’s all about.

"Fun but not enough rides"

Universal Studios Hollywood is a staple of any Los Angeles trip. They put in a lot of effort into each experience. Our personal favorites was the Harry Potter Hogwarts Ride, the Mummy Ride, and the Jurassic World Ride. Other than those three, however, there was not much to do there. If you absolutely had to choose between Universal Studios and Disneyland, I'd recommend Disneyland just because there is a lot more to do and the rides are enjoyable for all ages.
