"My Suggestions for Further Improvements"
December 2023
1) Some rides’ music is too loud for young ears of babies and toddlers; 2) There should be more efficient Airport to/from Disney to cater to those families needing child boosters and baby car seats. At the moment there a myriad of shuttle service providers some of which charging ripoff prices; 3) There are at least 3 bus systems serving Anaheim/Disneyland. Their bus passes are not interchangeable and are super confusing to non-local visitors. All these affect the Disneyland holiday experience tremendously.

We had so much fun at Disneyland and California Adventure. These parks are small enough that you really can take your time and enjoy every nook and cranny without feeling rushed while still boasting great rides and experiences. It was also nice to be able to walk to the parks from our hotel in Anaheim.

Frequently Asked Questions about Disneyland Resort Theme Parks

Do I need to make a reservation prior to arrival?

Yes, in order to enter, BOTH a Park Reservation and Valid Admission Ticket are required prior to arrival. Please check to see if your desired date and theme park is available BEFORE purchasing your ticket by clicking on the Check Availability Calendar. After purchase, visit your Disney World account at https://disneyland.disney.go.com/login to set-up an account and select the date you plan on attending the park through the Disney Park Pass reservation system. Given the limited availability of reservations, it is recommended that you make your theme park reservations immediately after purchasing your admission. Buying a ticket does not guarantee you admission without an advance reservation. Capacity is limited and sells out fast during peak periods. Park Hopper tickets require a reservation for the first park you plan to visit for each day. You can hop to another park with the Park Hopper after 1pm based on park capacity.

What is Disney Genie+ service?

Disney Genie Plus service (Disney Genie+) provides all of the great features that come with the complimentary Disney Genie, but with even more convenience and flexibility. Once you've entered the park, you can begin selecting the next available arrival window for Lightning Lane entrances at select attractions, once per ride per day. A variety of attractions across both theme parks are eligible, which is great for guests with Park Hopper Tickets. Genie+ service is available for purchase as a single-park or multi-park ticket option.

How can we take advantage of the Lightning Lane Entrances?

Get quicker entry to select attractions by purchasing arrival windows for our Lightning Lane entrances throughout Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. There are 2 options to purchase and select arrival windows for Lightning Lane entrances. And since each option offers a different set of attractions to choose from, you can combine the two. 1). With the purchase of Disney Genie+ service, you can select the next available arrival window for Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane entrances at select attractions. You can make one selection at a time, after park entry on the day of your visit (attractions are subject to limited availability; limit one Lightning Lane selection per attraction per day). There are a variety of attractions throughout Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park that are included in this service. Guests with a Park Hopper ticket and an appropriate park reservation may cross over and switch between parks on the same day beginning at 1:00 PM to experience the attractions at the other park with this service. 2). For some of the most highly demanded attractions, Lightning Lane entrance access will be available to purchase individually. Guests may purchase and select the next available arrival window for up to 2 attractions per day. This option will be available for all guests with valid theme park admission and park reservations—with or without Disney Genie+ service.

How long do I have to wait between making Disney Genie+ selections for the Lightning Lane?

Once you’ve redeemed your initial selection (or the arrival window has passed), you can use the Disney Genie service Tip Board or My Day itinerary to see when you’re eligible to make another selection. You can make selections, one at a time, all day up to regular park closing, subject to availability and limited to one Lightning Lane selection per attraction per day.
