I had so much fun! We took our family there to celebrate our grandchildren's birthdays. It was priced really fair and there's a ton of different stuff to do. We got there early and rode rides then went to the see the Legos and to the Aquarium. It was a great time I will always cherish. Next time we'll stay another day and go to the waterpark too.

"Overpriced and Underwhelmed"
July 2019
Short story is $100 a person for tickets to enter, $30 to park the car, $10 per try to play any of the carnival games, entry fee does NOT include the use of the 3 water parks, that will set you back another $30 a person, mostly a lot of walking around from attraction to attraction only to find long lines and more and more fees. Totally misrepresented. This trip was our 1st and out last to Legoland... Underwhelmed

LegoLand California was super fun for the kids and adults. Make sure to spend at least 2 days to experience it all. My kids range from 3 to 5 and they had plenty of rides they were allowed to ride.

"Family Vacation Done Right"
April 2019
My family and I (myself, 3 kids and their dad) spent Spring Break in the beautiful weather in Carlsbad Ca. It was our first time at Legoland and it did not disappoint. My 6 year old son was amazed at all the Lego people we saw and said I was the best mom ever for taking him. That was all worth it.

The lines are not to long. We did have trouble with them scanning in out tickets, I suggest printing them out. We had trouble with the add-ons to out tickets (sealife and the water park) for some reason the tickets we purchased from reserve direct were not in the system. After a long wait legoland printed us new tickets. The water park was fun but bring a change on cloths and a towel. Sealife really was not that big of a deal, it's just like other aquariums. Overall legoland was fun.

Tip: Food and drink in the park are very expensive. The water park offers lockers for a fee to store your things.

Our grandson s 7 and has been to Disney World, Disneyland and 6 Flags near us so he used to big rides. The rides here are short and nothing worth writing about. I would pay extra money again for express pass was worth it and good system. The little man switching was great he did like that.

"Premium Price, Poor Quality Experience"

With Disneyland nearby, how is it possible not to get the details of amusement park operations right? I want to love this place, but it needs some serious customer experience TLC. Our family checked into two suites at the castle hotel today and it's just been a checklist of sub-par experiences. From the terrible website with bad UI/UX, to driving into the park without any clear directions for hotel guests, to an insane valet mess upon arrival (could not be more disorganized and unclear), to no good WI-FI throughout the property (so no text from the hotel to let us know our room was available) to a poor check-in experience (no info on entertainment, etc. provided), to a price gauging 'fast pass' wannabe experience that prices things by percentage faster amounts (if you want to go 50% faster, it's $x/per person, etc.) to telling us by signage and app a ride will be 15 mins when it's actually 45!!! (dishonest) to no trays for a very long time at the lunch spot with chicken and pulled pork, to "no bags left" at the grab-and-go by the exit after buying a bunch of drinks end of day, to no available place to sit in the courtyard of the hotel for dinner when there is space for at least 5-10 more tables to exist in the patio to returning our fast pass-like gadget without my husband's credit card and being told they needed the card to return the deposit (yes, 2019 and they need the physical card apparently. For some reason most retailers can handle a return without a card, but not here). There are some charming things here, but they are limited and it's a shame. And, the vibe of most of the short-handed staff is overworked and unenthusiastic. It's a very expensive place ($140+!for the park hopper today and $16 for Legoland LEGO-shaped block chocolate, for example), so it should just be better quality, organized and run. I can excuse the lack of charm and magic to some degree when there is great customer service, but with that lacking, it falls short by a lot. Departure day update: We went back this morning - a Sunday (after we tried to order room service breakfast but were told it wasn't an option). It was great to go early. We zipped on and off the roller coasters (however, they should make it abundantly clear that the rides aren't open during the early hour for hotel guests. There is a dishonest undercurrent to a lot of what LL does. Beware. We played a couple of the tacky county fair games that were half broken. Disneyland would never allow any of these ethically questionable oops as they limit greatly the ability to win)... Around 11am we purchased a gift mid-park and were told we could pick it up later by the exit gate after 12pm. At 3pm, on the way out - our gift is not at the pick-up area. Instead of apologizing, the young man working tells me they are short-handed (!!!), and he couldn't run up and get it. I asked, 'so one of us should run and get it?' At this point, I just expect this kind of thing here and am seeing what kind of solution they can come up with while I politely wait. After a few minutes, he tells me they will bring the gift down while we wait around for 15 minutes. Ho, hum. What a joke...As we wait, my husband, whom remained back at the hotel in the morning, mentions he had to wait almost an hour for a bell cap to bring our bags from the room to storage in the lobby earlier (after a number of ridiculous texts re them being busy). Btw, this is why he was running late to meet us at the Skipper's School where the boats literally barely operate (so unfortunate and insulting they cheap out like this - especially at over $900/night a room and $140 for a hopper tix). The whole time, we are letting this stuff go for the most part, but none of it goes unnoticed. We get back to the hotel and call up our cars - or try. They can only find one - seriously, the incompetence is astounding). At one point while we are waiting, they bring up a car that looks like ours, but isn't ours (I kid you not!). Finally, we drive off, back to LA celebrating the kids' highlights. The kids had a good time overall, but the adults feel worked and taken advantage of. We are in agreement that we'd rather avoid Legoland and spend our money at Disneyland, where adults and children are well-serviced (not just children), everything is high quality and above board, organized, and there is a positive, happy vibe and approach to patrons. Once we arrive home, I notice I had received a text at 4:17pm welcoming me/us to Legoland and letting me know how their service wizards can help us during our stay. Lol! Just can't get a thing right. So, I'll just add one last note re the waste and bathroom conditions - some of the bathrooms are in need of new toilets and other things, dirty, and need general updating while trash cans are overflowing by noon. The bathrooms have signs asking for patrons to text them if the bathroom needs to be serviced. Absurd.

"Logan Hong, first impression at Legoland"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Logan was the initial person that we met at Legoland, he was the Valet attendant. He was sincere in his greeting and assisted in our luggage and parking. This was my first visit to Legoland and Logan was the my initial contact and first impression of the service provided. My wife and I were very pleased that Logan helped us. I have to say that the first impression leaves a lasting expectation of the rest of our stay and we were not disappointed. I am also impressed with the "How am I doing?" Tablets around Legoland. It s how's that Legoland is always looking to improve and not afraid of criticism. My family enjoyed Legolandmore than Disneyland and I have an annual pass. Keep up the excellent wor.
