"Absolutely excellent hotel! BEST RESORT!"

I know we all have different opinions on which Disney resort is 'the best', and that's because all of the resorts are different! This one has been my favorite since 2014, and I have stayed here a lot since then. It is Walt Disney World's smallest moderate resort and I like that because it's not very crowded. It has a calm atmosphere, jazz music, a lovely shop (with lots of great stuff!), an awesome pool (fun for adults and children), a play-park, an arcade, a hot tub- I could go on! The food is outstanding and I recommend it to people who don't like crowded resorts, who want a nice, relaxing hotel, it's great for families or couples, you are guaranteed to have a good stay. Love this resort.

"Great experience at this Hotel"

We stayed at this hotel for a week in May. Three of us - me, my wife and our 3 year old. I would recommend this property to anyone going to Disney. We took the magical express bus from the airport. We decided to pick up our bags and bring them with us rather than use the delivery service, which worked out fine. We were able to get into our room when we arrived at around noon. The rooms are exactly as advertised - the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for the three of us. We used the bus transportation to the parks all week. There were one or two times when we waited for 15 minutes or so to get buses - mostly coming back from the parks in the mid day. But generally the bus service was very efficient and timely. We would do this again rather than renting a car. The food at the hotel is really quite good. It's reasonably priced, and worked out well for us. We also took the boat to Disney Springs for a couple meals and ate at the Riverside restaurant one night. The pool was a hit with our 3 year old. They provide life vests at no cost for young swimmers, which was very helpful. Checkout was a breeze, and we were able to check our bags at the hotel and get our boarding passes, which also worked out great for us. I would also note that the theme-ing of the hotel is quite nice. The photos on this and other sites really does not do the hotel credit. It is a very attractive and well maintained property. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

"Small resort - Great for families or couples alike"

First trip to Disney as a family and we stayed a night at Contemporary before heading to FQ for the remainder of our trip. We loved the resort as it was small and manageable, not overwhelming AT ALL. Our kids (2.5 & 4.5) LOVED the pool area as did we and the playground was also great after a day at the parks and it always had a good number of kids who always seemed to play together. Our kids never wanted to leave. Having stayed a night at Contemporary first we saw how nice it was going from a huge resort to a small resort and really appreciated that. the rooms aren't huge by any means but we fit 4 suitcases, a pack n play and a double stroller just fine. The rooms don't have a microwave but they did accommodate our request for one so that was helpful. Front desk and the food court cast members were SUPER friendly and helped with a magic band issue and answered all of our dining questions with great patience. We only had one longer wait for a bus and that was when we headed to Hollywood Studios and almost missed a breakfast reservation. We had one for 8:45 and got to the bus stop at 7:50 and were told we would not make it. In the end the bus came and the coordinator out there made sure we got to the front of the line to get on it. The bus line is not single file or anything so you may miss one and have to wait even if you were there "first" but we had great luck with the bus and we NEVER stopped at another resort. We took the boat to Riverside to swim which was fun for one evening. One con - the USB ports worked when they wanted to and this caused issues for us trying to charge our phones for the park days. I have read other reviews saying the same and was hoping it was exaggerated but it was not. I left my cord at Contemporary and had to buy one at FQ and even that cord wouldn't work 80% of the time or you'd have to jiggle it just right. We definitely recommend the resort - very quaint and peaceful yet plenty of fun and all within a short walk. Like I said in the title we did see plenty of couples, older and younger and plenty of families so its a good mix here. We had neighbors and heard zero noise thru the walls. The beds are comfy as others have said and a bit high but my 4 year old could get up just fine. I do wish that all Disney resorts Incorporated Disney/Mickey a bit more even if its not "in your face Disney" - it would be fun to see Mickey pics in the dining hall or something even.

Stayed here for a couple of nights when we went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party event at Magic Kingdom. Love this resort! We went to the Halloween event when we arrived, and spent the following day relaxing at the resort/pool. My kids enjoyed it and had such a great time. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Easy to get to Disney Springs on the ferry. Each and every staff member was very friendly and helpful; we truly felt welcomed. I would definitely stay here again.

"Romantic Engagement Vacation"

My Fiancé and I stayed at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter in January, and we can’t wait to go back. We have both been to Disney World numerous times, but this was by far our most favorite vacation. We decided to stay in Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, because we wanted a romantic place to stay that still had the fun Disney magic you can only get at Disney Resorts. We stayed in Building 6, room 6216. It’s a corner room, and we had a garden view, but we were close to the river, and we could easily walk to one of the many benches for a romantic little visit by the river. We both felt we were far enough from the main building area to be away from the noise and people, but still close enough to the pool, restaurant, and bus terminals that it was only a quick walk to get where we wanted to go. The room was very clean and well kept, and we had absolutely no complaints. The staff at French Quarter was top notch. Everyone from the Front Desk, to the bartenders, to the kitchen staff, and the cleaning staff, everyone we encountered were all amazing. Our most favorite part of the hotel, though, was the food. We loved the Shrimp and Grits for breakfast, and we fell in love with the Beignet Burger. But, by far, the beignets were our favorite. We had at least one order of beignets every single day we were there. If you’re thinking about staying at French Quarter, and you want a more adult and romantic Disney trip, then it’s the right resort to book.
