from TV & Movie Locations Tour with Official NBC Studios Tour
Our special New York Movie Location and NBC Studio Tour begins by taking in some of the most iconic TV and movie locations in Manhattan, such as the Tiffany's store from Breakfast at Tiffany's and Radio City Music Hall. Along the way, your movie-buff Walks guide will debunk the myths around some of the most misunderstood mise-en-scene in the industry including that fountain and Central Perk cafe from Friends, as well as the secrets behind the unlikely locations of other popular New York-based sitcoms such as Seinfeld.

Eventually, it's on to NBC studios where you won't just step into television history - you'll actually get a peek behind the scenes, and see just how television history is actually made.

In the company of a special studio insider (an NBC 'Page'), you'll get a full tour of the famous studios, stopping off at sets like Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon or Late Night with Seth Meyers. You'll also step into the operations center where every second of broadcasting is filtered, cut, panned, and produced to create the polished product on your TV screen.

To finish the day off, your group will then step into a real studio to film a five-minute segment. You can work on your on-air persona as a host or guest on the show, or get behind a camera or mic to help create the perfect clip. After your NBC Studio Tour, you will be emailed a copy of your segment. Or we'll just have them send it to your agent, if you'd prefer!

Are there any age/physical/health/etc. restrictions for this tour/attraction/activity?

There aren't any age restrictions for this tour. True to their name, most of their tours involve walking for at least half, if not the majority of the time. With the exception of a few of their daytrips, driving tours, or boat excursions, you can expect to walk a fair amount. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty.

Is the attraction/tour/activity wheelchair/stroller accessible?

Every tour is different but for the most part, those with mobility limitations have difficulties on a group tour for a variety of reasons. Their group tours utilizes multiple areas that are not accessible like staircases, narrow passages, and uneven surfaces of archeological sites. Contact them via website prior to booking the desired tour to confirm if it can accommodate wheelchair users.

Strollers are also difficult on a group tour. Some sites won’t allow strollers inside, while driving tours and day trips don’t have extra storage space within the vehicle.  Please contact them via Take Walk's website to arrange something. If strollers are allowed, please be reminded to bring one that's foldable and lightweight.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes! There are a lot of photo opportunities on this tour.

What should I bring?

You may bring water, sunshield (a hat, sunglasses, parasol, and/or sunscreen), water shield (a coat, umbrella, or outer layers for the cooler months), and a photo ID for some of the stop over sights.

What should I wear?

They recommend guests wear attire appropriate for the day’s weather forecast and comfortable walking shoes so it's easy to navigate along uneven surfaces, dirt paths, cobblestone, etc. Due to the religious nature of holy sites such as churches and catacombs, all individuals regardless of gender and age must cover their shoulders and knees.

During warmer seasons, you can bring extra covering (scarves, sweaters, sarongs, etc.) to put on just before entering.

What is the protocol for when it rains?

Their tours run rain or shine and their guides are great at navigating through various weather conditions to ensure you're as comfortable as possible. They will find shade where they can, overhangs to pause under - stuff like that.

On very rare occasions if the weather is particularly dramatic some sites may close (e.g. the Colosseum may close in case of flooding). If time allows and they have prior warning, they will contact you as soon as they find out.

Should I bring the confirmation email?

A physical or digital copy of this confirmation email is not required to join your tour. Your guide (or tour coordinator) will have your name in their database so as long as you know the name on the booking, you're set!
