"Amazing deal in Chicago downtown"
June 2016
I loved the hotel and is vet well located. Close to a bus stop to catch buses to all the tourist attraction. Staff were so helpful and nice. Breakfast was more than enough and everything was just so pleasant. I have no complains whatsoever and considering the amazing deal we got which cost us next to nothing I will definitely be returning here anytime I'm in the city.

"Horrible, Rude, Disgusting"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed May 20, 2020
This stay was horrible. The staff was rude. The room was disgusting. I frequent LaQuinta for almost every stay--I even worked at a LaQuinta before--and this hotel was not okay. The front desk staff was very, very rude. They did not mention that everything that is normal with the brand is not available (breakfast, pool, exercise room, etc...). They did not mention or assist with parking although I made it clear this was my first time in Chicago, IL. They were rude and smug with my guests and myself. At one point, I was having trouble finding the door because they had signs saying next door and it took for the super nice security to open the door and help me when I had my arms full. When i ordered food to be left at the front desk, the older, white man would not give me my food without my verifying the order place, name, etc... when it had my number on the bag. This alone was over the top, I was treated like a thief over $40 of food I paid for! Not to mention, why would i want my food being held and lurked over with the coronavirus?! The room was small, smelt very stale, and the refrigerator did not work! They sent the security up to the room to fix it. The security was the only nice and respectful person at the hotel! He was super awesome! They made a rude comment to me that they would just have to move me then said he would try fixing it first. It was all so rude and i was treated like a bother. To top it off, the BATHTUB HAD WHAT LOOKED LIKE DRIED BLOOD SMEARED ALL OVER. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Attempts to talk to the hotel staff and complain were rushed because of other guests. It seemed like they did not think i was good enough to stay at their property.

"Good sized room and free breakfast at extremely good location."
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed April 10, 2020
I've been impressed with La Quinta hotels for room size, acceptable furnishings and decent front desk staff, all at the right price. This hotel fits that bill, at a great location. Room was quiet. Breakfast room and meal were better than many low cost hotels. Has a connected restaurant called Noodles which specializes in quick meals all with different noodles at reasonable price. Hotel is a renovated office building in an office area. Seemed very safe. Easy walking everywhere including to Union Station which is where we went to catch an Amtrak train. I would stay here again.
