"Huge resort, starting to show its age"

The resort is huge, so once you wrap your head around the fact it takes 15 minutes to get anywhere it becomes less annoying. The tram is slow and broke down multiple times when we were at the property. With such a huge property, the upkeep is probably enormous. The grounds and the rooms are starting to show their age. The number of pools and the lagoon are really cool so you don’t have to walk too far to enjoy a nice swim. Snorkeling and swimming with the sea turtles is super cool. No beach access, and the closest beaches are a 10+ minute drive. Dining options and nightlife on the resort are limited, there are a few nice restaurants at the Queens marketplace, a $2 trolley ride from the hotel. Fitness center is small and limited, way too crowded first thing in the AM. WiFi is super slow, it’s really frustrating. All the staff have been amazing and super friendly. Overall it’s a nice resort, maybe 3.5 stars.

We stayed here in 2016 and it was a blast so we chose to come here again this year. The experience was not the same. For example.... The hotel room was not as good, the service was not as good and if there is an event going on then they close down the pool & spa for a couple of days not hours and as well as the restaurants to accommodate those guests that are part of this huge event. All other guests have to make other plans or deal with the over crowding due to the closures for the events. Very disappointed this time.

"Fantastic resort"

This is a spectacular resort and we keep coming back, the lagoon is amazing, we love the dolphins, love the artwork, it is a beautiful place on a beautiful island. On this trip we were in a Makai room, a first for us (we have stayed in the Palace tower on prior visits) but it was great, easy access to the lagoon, good view of the dolphin pool, and a gorgeous room with a nice ocean and sunset view. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Loved every minute of the trip and look forward to coming back as soon as possible!

beautiful resort if all you want to do is stay in the pool. they don't have any beach access and the resort is so big plan on walking 15 min to get to your room from the lobby. the tram they have to get around is never there when you need it and is as fast as me walking. so ineffective never again.

"Big!"

Beautiful property! Amazing views and the staff is very good. They seem to really have their process together when handling very large corporate groups. They functioned like a duck on a pond. Calm and smooth on the surface, but kicking like crazy underneath! Valet staff is top notch. We stayed in the Ocean Tower. It’s time to update that part of the property. Everything was clean and functioning, but outdated as compared to the rest of the towers. The views were amazing!
