"Not bad at all but does need some TLC"

We’d changed our booking to the Enclave after some feedback from a friend on where we’d originally planned to stay. We were a little concerned following some of the reviews but it was actually OK. The good points: Staff were lovely - Leo and Thomas on reception are so friendly and helpful and really wanted to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Derrick and Matteos were also great and had great time chatting to both. The bar is nice - would recommend happy hour. Location is excellent as very close to the trolley and lynx bus services which makes getting round without a car very easy. The pools were well maintained and clean. Buying the Enclave refillable mugs meant big savings on coffee and soft drinks. Cleaning was excellent - did not recognise the room when we got back when we’d asked for cleaning. Bed was actually very comfortable and slept really well. Water pressure was really good in the shower. The continental breakfast was basic but actually was ok and was more than enough for me and my husband each morning. Oddly enough there was better seating and more space where we had breakfast. Food orders were ok - had a few things and they were not bad at all. Reasonably priced as well. We were in Enclave 3 which was nice and quiet and had no problems with access and key cards. Staff were quick to respond to problems. There was an incident where someone had smoked strong drugs one Saturday but the staff sorted it very quickly to make sure no one was bothered by the smell. When we found some bits missing from the room these were replaced very quickly as well. Equipment such as the stove worked fine. Not so good: Updating is needed. The decor in our room was old, as was the sofa. The tap in the bath was also coming away from the wall. It may be in time updates are fully done but as it is a big site I do understand this will be an ongoing process. TV channel guide in rooms would be a nice touch. Air conditioning is very loud so if you are bothered by noise or a light sleeper you may struggle (we’d got used to it after a day or two). The balcony on ground floor rooms are just a concrete step. The patio door also kept coming off its rail as well. We’d managed to fix it ourselves but really this should not happen. Transport to parks needs a change in supplier. They were often late and close to full even early in the morning. Had to get a cab back one night from Disney as the number of people waiting for the 6pm bus was horrific (I doubt everyone got on). When we left in the cab at 6.15pm the bus had still not turned up. Overall this is a good place to stay if you’re going to be at the parks all day, and the location is great. If you can accept some of the flaws you’ll be fine.

After Thomas Cook collapse and the loss of our holiday, we managed to get this hotel at the last minute and it was lovely, clean friendly staff, great facilities pools and hot tubs, and breakfast in the mornings was excellent.

We always stay at The Enclave when we go to Orlando overnight. The hotel could definitely use a face lift, it's out dated, but for the cost of the suite it's worth it. The front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

"What a Rip-off!"

Not as advertised. We paid premium hotel rates for a stay that was last updated in the 1980’s. Our key cards barely worked half the time, and the elevator was a legitimate death trap. The room was non-smoking, but reeked of cigarette smoke. The toilet ran all night and the shower didn’t have hot water. When it did, the instructions for the knob were backwards. The TVs were programmed with only 10 channels and nobody went in the pool because it was dirty. The Continental breakfast was a joke, ten choices of bread but nothing else. If you have a gluten-intolerance, you’re screwed. You can pay for a more premium dining experience but if you don’t cough up the extra money. Spiders and bugs prevalent throughout and an overall unclean atmosphere. By the way, you have to request room service, it’s not automatic. Renter beware!

Booked with virgin as per of a package. We had stayed here before so knew what to expect. Check in was pleasant enough but the room was on the ground floor right by the pool and playground. The terrace was tiny with two plastic chairs right in full view of everyone and by a main walkway. The main issue for us was that the room was dirty and not well maintained. Crumbs, hair clips, fishing hook, and just generally dirty. The bathroom was full of mould and the light was broken, the bath was stained and dirty, it was not acceptable. We went to ask for a room change and were told they would do this the next day as they were fully booked. So we went out for some dinner , came back and after another look decided we couldn’t stay there overnight as it was disgusting. We checked out and into another hotel at our own cost. We had contacted virgin at this point and let them know what was happening. But the enclaves staff didn’t care or offer any help, one guy wanted to know what room it was so he could have a look after we left. Bit late for that, should’ve been done before we got there. Next day our rep booked us into another hotel but by this time we were a bit upset as we had lost a day of our holiday sorting it out.
