Pros: Good location, nice view, staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and the view from my balcony was perfect, nice view of the beach. Cons: Slow elevators, one or more seemed to out of service. Glad I was on the second floor. Ice, drink and vending machines were not on every floor. Had to go to the first floor to get bottled water and then to the 4th floor for ice. When housekeeping cleaned my room on the second day, they forgot to replace the toilet paper. It took two hours and two phone calls for someone to bring me some t.p. Overall it was a nice stay the location and view made the stay pleasant, not sure if this would be my choice next time I visit Myrtle Beach.

My husband and I had this nice beach trip for our 4 year old’s birthday, but things didn’t quite go as planned! We drove 4 hours with my mother, our daughter, and our 6 month old son. We checked in at 4pm and checked out at 10:30pm the same day. After we finally got checked in (they’re busy so it took about an hour - understandable), we went to get groceries to cook breakfast the next morning, etc. We came back to the room around 6pm and noticed that the refrigerator was leaking and my husband noticed mold on top of the refrigerator (he’s 6’5”). I immediately called the front desk and they said they’d send maintenance right up. Maintenance showed up at 930pm. Lanela inspected the fridge, the A/C vent, and the dishwasher and could not find a leak, but she was very sweet and helpful and told us to call if it didn’t stop leaking. She said that housekeeping would have to clean the mold up, so I called the front desk again while she was still there. After she left, I went to take a shower. I noticed MORE MOLD on the ceiling in the shower! The ceiling was bulging near the light in the shower and was DRIPPING! I hopped out of the shower and called the front desk YET AGAIN! The manager that I spoke to (didn’t get his name) did not at all sound sincere in his “apology” and immediately asked if I would like to check out. He informed me that they didn’t have anymore rooms when I asked. I told him I guess I didn’t have a choice because I can’t have my 4 year old and my 6 month old baby in a nasty, moldy room. After talking to a few people, we found out that they knew about a busted pipe 2 floors up that was leaking down and they STILL rented the room out. So my husband and I walked to the front desk to check out & while giving me my full refund, the manager had the nerve to inform me that their policy is that they couldn’t give refunds out if you check out after 10, but “given the circumstances”, he was “able to make that happen”. Oh thank you, kind sir, thank you! While we were packing our things up, a housekeeper knocked on our door & asked how long we would be. So whoever is about to be placed in ROOM 706, beware! I honestly forgot to pictures of the shower because I was so angry, but I did get pictures of the refrigerator.

I believe we stayed in the side view suite and it surpassed our expectations by a lot! The room was very clean, and nicely layed out. Loved having a full kitchen and laundry area! The boardwalk runs right behind the resort making it easier and seem safer to walk to restaurants/attractions around. Overall we loved it here, will definitely be returning!

Pros- Great location, clean and spacious room, good deal for price, in walking distance to a lot of attractions and restaurants Cons- Missing a lot of things in the kitchen, we had no cookware the entire week and when we requested some they brought us one frying pan, didnt even have a spatula, cooking pans or knives. Only came to clean the room one time, so we had to request towels a few times and our trash was overflowing. Had no dish towels so we had to wash the dishes with a bathroom towel. Did not have tissues or paper towels in the room. TV remote did not work at all. Elevators were very hot and muggy. When we checked in we had to park down the street in a gravel lot because the check in area was full and there were also no available luggage carts. Parking garage is very tight and the elevators did not work so we had to climb the gross stairs each time. There were 2 floors of valet parking before you got to the regular parking. Not very many pools and they are all in door. Pool did not have any towels available had to use your own. This resort had its good and bad, overall it was good because of the cleanness and location but the little stuff was very inconvenient at times.

My family has taken a trip to myrtle beach for 7 years and Bayview is the best option for us. The location is perfect because it’s so close to all the attractions and the room accommodations are perfect for a large family.
