AVA Aerial Adventure is a full 8 - hour guided journey hiking and ziplining through beautifully wooded and cliff-sided, 43-acre Gold Camp property. The full-day trip lets guests enjoy the incredible view of snow-capped Collegiate Peaks the rushing river of Arkansas River, all while you relax and enjoy lunch on the cliffside. This trip is great for a weekend warrior, an aerial enthusiast, or a family looking to have a great time outside but may want something different from rafting.

When and where do we meet?
You will meet at our outpost, and then we will handle all transportation from there. Please arrive at our outpost 15 minutes before your scheduled trip time.
Are there any age/physical/health/etc. restrictions for this tour/attraction/activity?
To go on a zipline trip with AVA, all zippers must be at least 6 years old. Everyone must also be between 50 pounds and 250 pounds. Zippers must be wearing appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. All zippers will be outfitted with a helmet, gloves, and a harness. Guests are required to do a moderate amount of hand braking on the adventure. Zipline tours are designed for use by participants of average physical condition and in reasonably good health. There may be a section of hiking to the course. These trails are usually comparable to walking up four flights of stairs.
What should I wear?
For your ZIPLINE TRIP, make you are dressed comfortably and appropriately for the weather. Zippers will not be allowed on the course without closed-toe, sturdy shoes, such as hiking boots or tennis shoes. Regardless of the time of year, avoid wearing baggy clothing that could get tangled as you zip from platform to platform. We suggest long pants, capris, or knee-length shorts for maximum comfort during your trip.
What do I need to bring?
We provide all the gear needed for your trip besides footwear and clothing. You will be fitted with a seat harness and a chest harness, a trolley system, 2 lanyards with secure clips, gloves, and a helmet. The equipment is very similar to what is used for rock climbing but specifically designed for a zipline course.
Where is it located?
AVA has locations across the state of Colorado. Our primary outposts are located in Idaho Springs, Kremmling, Buena Vista, and Breckenridge. We also raft out of Fort Collins, Glenwood Springs, Canon City, and Durango in Colorado and Globe, Arizona.
When can I go Ziplining?
You can zipline with AVA from March through November each year! The Cliffside Zipline in Idaho Springs near Denver will open the first weekend of March and stay open on a limited schedule through the end of November. The Mountaintop Zipline in Buena Vista will open between the end of April and early May and stay open through Labor Day. During the summer, there are zipline trips hourly starting at 8:00 am at both locations.
Will there be a guide on my Colorado Zipline Tour?
Ziplining tours are fully guided tours that utilize zip lines to travel from tree to tree. Basic zip line skills will be taught prior to your actual tour in the “ground school.” Guides may also teach you additional techniques throughout the zipline tour.
Will I have to climb platforms during the zipline tour?
AVA zipline courses are integrated into the mountains. You will take a truck up to the trail and will have short hikes in-between the different lines. Ziplining has been described as being as close as you can get to flying across the top of the forest.
What is the weather policy for zipline tours?
Trips will still go out in slightly adverse conditions. The only time trips are canceled due to high winds/lightning. Dress in layers and bring a raincoat as afternoon storms are not a rare occurrence in Colorado.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Every participant is required to sign a Liability and Release Waiver and assume all risks involved while on tour — Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
