Totally overrated. Only small fish and some shipwreck. Not one hour, but about 30 minutes under water. Seats are stiff and small with windows low, which forces you to sit uncomfortably bent over. Not worth the $122 . More in the $35 per person would be reasonable. Having people pay $1 for a one page paper with some pictures of fish you may encounter and forcing you to have your picture taken , which they hand you over before you leave , asking $25 just add more insult to an overrated submarine tour.

This was such a fun part of our day in Kona. Easy to find, easy to park behind the office, you'll be well taken care of. The guides and captain were great and friendly, happy to have you there. We saw tons of fish, all sizes colors and shapes, sharks, shipwrecks from WW2 and earlier. Be sure and purchase your picture, you'll be glad you did. Yes, shave ice is close to the harbor, must have! The rest of our day we spent walking touring Kona, ending the day with a delicious fabulous LUAU with the sunset over the ocean as a backdrop. Great day, great memories!

This was a marvellous and unusual experience. The submarine was very comfortable with excellent viewing and it descended more than 100 feet to allow us great views of the reef. It was fascinating to be in what felt like the inside of an aquarium.

The tour was very well organized, given that you meet at the Kamehameha, walk to the pier, board a boat, unboard and descend into the submarine. We had a very full passenger list, with many non english speakers, and it all went so smoothly. I had a knee injury and the staff were most helpful with my boarding and unboarding. Once on board, the views are spectacular and the staff are so knowledgeable about what you see. We saw many fish, coral, a shark, and a boat wreck. Definitely recommend.

It’s not often that you get the opportunity to ride in a submarine. Atlantis Submarines Kona was great fun. There weren’t a lot of people on our tour, which was nice because it wasn’t crowded. Our tour guide did a great job of narrating the many fish we saw on the tour. There were also two shipwrecks to see and each had many interesting fish around the. Our family had a great time on the tour. It was worth the money.
