from Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
With so many choices, where do you begin? Right here. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is a 135-acre animal theme park located in Vallejo, California. The park includes a plethora of pulse-pounding roller coasters, to gentler options for tots.

At the heart of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is its diverse animal program, where guests, young and old, can enjoy strolling through the LAND area of the park to see beautiful cats, such as African lions, Bengal and Siberian tigers and cougars relaxing in their tranquil outdoor habitats.

In SEA, various marine mammals, such as bottlenose dolphins, Pacific walruses, California sea lions, Pacific harbor seals and our aquatic bird species, endangered African penguins, can be found. Walk through the serene Butterfly Habitat or gaze at the often misunderstood sharks in the Shark Experience

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom offers unique opportunities to meet animals truly up-close and personal. From your first step into the park, you might see exotic parrots and macaws; at the main plaza, or see dolphins swimming via an underwater viewing window at Dolphin Harbor.

For those that wish to engage with animals directly, there are ample opportunities to meet, see, touch and feed a variety of animal species. Each operating day, there are limited spaces available where you can feed a seal or sea lion at Seal Cove or feed a giraffe at the Giraffe Encounter (additional fee required).

Throughout the day, you won’t want to miss any of our entertaining and informational animal presentations. See marine mammal specialists take our two-ton walruses through a series of unbelievable behaviors, and the Odin’s Temple of the Tiger demonstration show is a one-of-a-kind experience that proves that cats really do like to swim.

For fans of our feathered friends, our animal care specialists show that macaws and cockatoos have distinct personalities at Discovery Theater and there’s no doubt that every animal, big or small, has a place in the ecosystem. Not to miss is the Aquaped Waterworks Sea Lion Show and the energetic Drench! dolphin show at Toyota Stadium. During special times like Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park, we re-theme these for the occasion!

It was fun just they had a lot of things closed down and the staff didn’t seem to have everything under control. Plus they need to update some paint jobs.

"Last minute tickets"
October 2019
We didn't buy tickets for six flags ahead of time, you had to buy them 24 hr. In advance to get a discount on line through six flags web site. The tickets were cheaper on tipster and available for our last minute trip.

"Quick and easy!"
August 2019
I arrived at Six Flags and discovered that admission prices were full price - not the deals I had seen online or even on their own website. I quickly did a search online and Tripster has a great price and I was able to buy same day tickets! I purchased, verified credit card charge, then hopped out of line and straight to the gate with my immediately received ticket scan code from Tripster. Worked perfectly! Will definitely use Tripster again!

"Escelent "spur of the moment" service."
August 2019
My spouse and I decide to have a couple of days mid week for fun. We looked on line for tickent to Six Flags Magic Kingdom on Six Flags web site and discovered that their advertised discount price was ony available if you booked at least 24 hours in advance. :-( . I called Tripster and was able to get the discounted price for the same day. That was nearly a 30% discount making out day at the park even better. (We liked "The Joker" rollercoaster best)

"Never vist a six flag park or have a membership"

Used to love this place, have been season pass holders for many seasons, and members for the last year and a half. Over the last year the quality of the park has gone downhill. We pay for the meal plan and each time we go the park more and more food locations are not open. The park is dirty. There is no one available for complaints. I have left several messages, send multiple emails with complaints without a single call back or acknowledgment. I have requested cancellation of my membership but they insist on 45 days' notice before they will refund the deposit thereby guaranteeing they get another billing cycle as well as to hold onto my deposit for another 45 days. I have requested to speak to a Supervisor multiple times but was refused and had my chat session cut off and phone calls hung upon. I have never been rude or raised my voice I simply repeated that I would not accept that there was no way around the policy that I have to have an active membership for another 45 days. I told them it was fine to bill my final billing now ($40 for my family and me) and then return the $80 deposit and end my membership now as I will never return to any Six Flags park.

This park is great, if you want thrill rides they have them, our child is small and they have great little rides she really enjoys. The best part is the beauty of the park and just walking around enjoying the animals and displays. Only tough spot is sometimes the food available is costly and not so tasty, but that could just be me. Don't miss spending a good amount of time so you can really see all of this park.

"Great family fun"

Took a trip with our teenage kids and in laws. Had a blast. Recommended: Flash Pass is a must if you are planning to ride multiple rides. Expensive but worth it. My suggestion, bring lunch and take a break to go back to the car and eat in exchange for flash passes. Almost costs the same for a family of 5 to eat or get passes. Also- DO NOT visit on "bring a friend free day". This is when season pass holders can bring a guest free. Population at park doubles and it is a MISERABLE experience. We did that sunday December 30th 2018 and waited over 2 hours exiting the freeway to parking to park entrance. We literally rode ONE ride, and waited 2 hours to get lunch which cost $120. This year on Friday December 27th there was almost no one at the park, we got Flash Passes and I rode 9 rides. It was amazing. Only downside was paying $100 for 5 of us to eat. Took less than 30 minutes from exiting freeway to parking to park entrance. One bit of advice if you do get flash passes is make sure they are working. Ours initially said "delayed ", but we were told it was because rides were not quite up yet. This did not resolve and we saw other people using theirs to get on rides that we couldn't reserve. Had to go back and get them reprogrammed. Just a bit of time wasted. Other than that they worked great. Variety of rides is great for a one day visit. Definitely a fun place to go.
