The hotel is very clean and quite. The front desk employees are friendly but they don’t forget how to be professional and always there when you need. My room was big enough and well organized. Convenient location we’ll connect to other services like restaurants (Serafina TriBeCa is an amazing restaurant attached to it), subway, supermarkets and shops. I will definitely go back

This is our second visit to the Frederick and we love it. It’s a great hotel with friendly staff — especially Kazi and Yomaly. It’s a great location and very near subway, bagels and lots to do. We will be back.

We have stayed at The Frederick Hotel twice. It is absolutely charming. The service was impeccable throughout our stay both times. Parking is available for a fee. The rooms are comfy and are top quality. Serafina is the restaurant, great food and drink. Wonderful location. We will be back!

""Facilities Fee" seems like a scam"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed January 16, 2020 NEW
We just returned from our 2nd stay at The Frederick. Despite my low rating, there is a lot to like about this well-kept, clean boutique hotel. Our primary issue however is with the so-called Facilities Fee upcharge. You are charged additional money to stay here but it's not immediately apparent that you are being charged this fee and we were not told about what "amenities" the fee entitled us to. We learned about everything after the fact. When I complained that we didn't know what we were entitled to as a result of the Facilities Fee, the Front Desk Manager refunded the fee to our credit card. However what the facilities fee entitles you to is ridiculous. It includes a Walking Tour of the area...only given on certain days. It entitles you to bottled water. Use of their gym, and one glass of wine IF you are there between 5-6om on either a Friday or Saturday. Many other boutique hotels we have stayed in offer most of these things for free. The Frederick needs to do away with this fee. The upside is that the hotel is in a great area. We love Tribeca. The hotel valet parking while not inexpensive is easy and makes driving into Manhattan worthwhile for us. The hotel employee named Kazi is a gem. He is ever-present, smiling and incredibly helpful. He often went above and beyond for us. That said, the concierge person seemed underwhelming to us. I didn't catch his name but it should be his job to inform us of the perks we were being charged for. He told us NOTHING even though we checked in on a Saturday 2 hours before the wine hour being held that evening. The hotel does send you a late afternoon email inviting you to the wine hour but I didn't happen to check my email that afternoon and I shouldn't have to do that. Shame on the hotel for scamming guests into paying a fee for things that should be free. If they must charge, then charge guests who are interested in partaking of those things.
