"Great experience!"
March 2018
Room was good size and very clean. Excellent room service. Lots of choices for free breakfast. Food was great as well. Nice pool area and hotel very near several restaurants and not far, from Disney. I had family in the area to drive me so did not take advantage of the free shuttle to Disney. The staff were always pleasant and very accomodating. Would stay again.

This was a clean and comfortable hotel, but a combination of factors will have me choosing to stay elsewhere next time I'm in this area. The hotel is in need of updates. The bathtub faucet handle was so loose I thought it would fall off. Furniture was a little tired looking. There seem to be very few luggage carts for a hotel this size. I never saw one anywhere in the building between when I arrived and when I checked out. No doubt they do own some, but perhaps not enough. The single elevator that serves the whole back of the building was super slow. The back entrance was through a heavy door that was hard to wrestle my suitcases through by myself. It seems that many hotels have a dedicated elevator for housekeeping staff, but not this one. Large housekeeping carts coming and going on the single elevator at the back of the building were an issue in the morning. There are certainly some positives about this hotel as well. The amenities and options in the Marriott Village are great. Every staff member I encountered was super nice and friendly. The breakfast area is huge and well equipped to handle large crowds. The room I was in had a great bunkbed area for kids, separated by a partial wall from the king bed area. Each area had its own TV. It would be great for families. When making my reservation, I completely overlooked the fact that the hotel charges $15 per night for parking. My fault for not noticing, but I won't be returning to a hotel that charges for parking. There are some very nice hotels in the area that do not do so.

"Service Above the Price Point"

I travel a lot, and stay in hotels across the price spectrum. The service and attention here far exceeded the price I paid. The included breakfast was comprehensive, with eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and more. MUCH better than thawed bagels and cheap "egg patties". My room was well appointed, spotless, and quiet. Convenient shuttle service to the Disney parks is a bonus.

"Friendly Staff;"

We recently stayed at the hotel for a week during our volunteer week at Give Kids the World in Kissimmee so this location was very convenient for our needs. There are numerous restaurants close by including a Golden Corral within walking distance and a large outlet mall just 2 miles up Vineland Avenue. Parking is $15 but that has now become the norm in the area close to the Mouse. Check in was handled by Laura at the Front Desk who was very friendly and hospitable. She did well to thank us for our loyalty to Marriott and recognized my status as a Platinum level on Marriott Bonvoy. She asked if we wanted points or a $10 credit. We opted for the $10 credit as my wife loves to pick up some chocolate in the store next to the front desk. Laura explained the parking fee and hours of operation for breakfast. She confirmed my identity with ID and asked for a credit card. She then explained that we had been upgraded to the Family Suite. The hotel has an awesome pool facility and a small ala carte restaurant with pizza, burgers, frozen yogurt and Starbucks. There is an excellent kids playground. Buses are available to the theme parks. There is also a person in the lobby who can assist with booking theme parks. Guest room was overall clean but a starting to become a bit tired and in need of renovation. The shower pressure was good but the handle seemed like it was about to come off. Be careful taking the shower as the tubs are a bit slippery. Hopefully when this hotel does a renovation they will put in stand alone showers and remove the tubs. The vanity on the sink was very small for a family suite. The family suite included a second room of sorts with a bunk bed arrangement and an additional tv. The master bed area had another television, microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. The chair at the desk made it hard for my wife to walk by when I was in it. Wifi struggled but we were able to do what we needed to do although I had to go downstairs to get a stronger signal in the breakfast area on one occasion. Our room on the 4th floor was very noisy, the HVAC system was loud and the guests in the room next to us. One night it was a kids everywhere. Oh well, we survived. Kids will be kids but when it is sleep time, they need to quiet down. Breakfast: opens on time and is built for volume. I was disappointed in the lack of fruit. One day just a lot of oranges and then next added green bananas. Finally by Wednesday the bananas were ripe. No strawberries, no mixed fruit salad. The meats change periodically. The ladies working the buffet were all very pleasant and had a warm smile. On another note the housekeepers and housemen on the 4th floor were all very hospitable and friendly. I am sorry I didn't get their name but they always greeted us when in the hallways and had warm and genuine smiles. Please commend them and the ladies working the breakfast buffet. All in all a good stay with excellent hospitality and friendly staff helping make up for a guest room that is starting to show it's age and an average breakfast buffet. Excellent location.

W came down for a soccer tourney and stayed here 5 days. It’s in a perfect area... close to everything including ESPN fields. Nice pool... and several little shops attached to the hotel. (Starbucks, a gift shop, and a place to order small meals) The rooms were comfortable, the shower was good etc. The only complaint if any was that the people at the front desk were not super friendly or helpful. The phone was always busy when I tried to call for a wake up call or to ask for more towels etc. Not sure if there was some technical difficulties as I had it happen all 5 days I was there. I would absolutely stay here again though!!!

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel. It was nice. Not a five star. The rooms were large and comfortable. The room staff was really good. The bed, comfortable. 4 pillows. Glad we also brought our King size soft pillows (s) with us from home though. The hotel was a little "older", but not bad. Room service only after 5 p.m. The best part was it was with two other hotels in a "gated" property. Felt that our car was much safer this way. I would recommend this place to stay in Orlando.
