It’s no secret Downtown Gatlinburg is a favorite place for people to shop. The charming streets of the mountain hamlet are lined with mom and pop stores, offering a wide selection of unique shops at which to browse and buy. Whether you want a cute souvenir or a new piece of artwork for your home, you'll find it in Gatlinburg!

 

1. Ole Smoky Moonshine

What’s more southern than white lightnin’? Shine has made a major comeback in Gatlinburg, but Ole Smoky Moonshine started it all. The distillery is a must visit as you can sample the various moonshine flavors, from pineapple to blackberry and everything in between. Then, you can buy a jar of real Smoky Mountain shine to sip on when you get back home.

2. Beneath the Smoke

One of the best souvenirs you can have of the Smoky Mountains is a piece of Photography by Ken Jenkins.  Visit his art gallery, Beneath the Smoke, for fantastic artistic photographs.  Many of the pieces focus on the flora and fauna of the region, highlighting its natural wonders.  A good selection of nature books is available here as well.

3. Alewine Pottery

Located at the beautiful Village Shops, Alewine Pottery puts the craft on display with working potters on site.  See them handcraft items, then take home a handmade treasure.  There are a variety of items for sale, many of which are nature inspired and glazed to reflect the colors of the Smoky Mountains.

4. All Sauced Up

Spice up your shopping trip by taste testing a sample of over 150 selections daily at All Sauced Up.  From barbeque sauces to salsas, jams, dressings and hot sauces, there are so many flavors featured it’ll be hard to choose which items to take home.  The names of the hot sauces alone will give you a laugh, but the extra kick they add to your meals will remind you of Gatlinburg every time.

5. The Silver Tree

Another favorite shopping stop is The Silver Tree. For almost 25 years, it has sold unusual charms, earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, pendants, and chains.  The selection is impressive and you may just come away with a new favorite piece of jewelry.

6. Savannah Bee Company

Pick up a wide range of health and beauty inspired, pure honey products from Savannah Bee Company located at Anakeesta. Along with the other places to shop in downtown Gatlinburg and Anakeesta, Savannah Bee Company is the perfect place to pick up a Smoky Mountain souvenir or two.
