7 of the Best Hotels on International Drive in Orlando

Hotel Monreale Express International Drive Orlando

We totally agree with Hotel Monreal Express’ website–” location is a must!” If your itinerary takes advantage of all the top attractions near International Drive, you’d want a hotel that’s as close to those experiences. It saves time, transportation costs, and coordinating with coach services.

That being said, Hotel Monreale Express International Drive Orlando is within walking distance of some of Orlando’s top attractions. It’s surrounded by theme parks and restaurants and is next to Universal Orlando Resort. By right next door, we mean a mere 3-6 minute drive. In addition, Hotel Monreale offers a free shuttle to theme parks nearby. Could it be any more convenient? However, the hotel provides free parking should you decide to drive yourself.

Hotel Monreale Express has two types of standard guest rooms. One has two queen beds while the other has one king bed. Both rooms have the same amenities, including a 50-inch cable TV, desk, minibar, microwave, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board.

More goods await guests at Hotel Monreale Express! For food, there’s a Walgreens next door which is open 24/7. In addition, the hotel has a modern coffee and breakfast area where fresh bread, muffins, cereals, juices, and coffee are served daily. Guests are also offered to start the day with a buffet breakfast. There’s nothing better than a hearty meal after a good night’s rest, so we recommend booking a room with breakfast included!

After breakfast, why not take a dip in the outdoor pool? It’s accessible from the coffee and breakfast area with double-glass doors and floor-to-ceiling windows. This makes it convenient to leave the kids’ inflatables and pool toys outside without losing visibility.

Hotel Monreale Express boasts a 4 out of 5-star rating. The best reviews comment on the excellent room service and staff.

How to Choose Your Hotel

Room rates

First things first! You have to set a budget. Asking questions like how many days you will be staying in the hotel and how many rooms you need to book will help you set a budget. Do the kids need a separate room? Or are you looking for a spacious room where everyone can stay?

Hotel location

If you know the exact location of the places you will be visiting during your trip, you can narrow down your choice of hotels. Hotels located on International Drive are conveniently located near top attractions in Orlando. Madame Tussauds Orlando at ICON Park, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, and SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium are just some of the attractions around I-Drive Orlando.

International Drive hotels are also an ideal choice for people traveling for work. The Orange County Convention Center, the primary public convention center in this part of Florida, is within easy walking and driving distance of most hotels on International Drive.

The room that you book is eventually going to be the place where you are going to spend your time resting. The room’s specifications–from size, ambiance, and furniture–should be to your liking.

If you are spending a week or more at the hotel, you will likely need a sizeable wardrobe where you can store your clothes and accessories. If you brought your kids’ toys with you and they require floor space, then you’d need a spacious enough room to walk around without stepping on legos, barbies, or that mini-slide that just had come with.

Additionally, you might be someone who takes out food more often and needs a decent-sized fridge to store those meals. Make sure to view the gallery of the room that you’re planning to book, check its square feet, and don’t be shy to inquire with the hotel if you have more questions.

Work-friendly spaces

Can’t leave work at home? Or Traveling exclusively for work? Free wifi, great lighting for those video meetings, and a comfortable workspace are essential when scouting out accommodations for your Orlando sojourn.

Facilities and Amenities

Hotels that adapt to guests’ wants offer facilities and amenities that make your stay comfortable and convenient. For example, if you’re the kind of person who needs access to gym equipment every day, check out which among your choice of hotels has the best fitness center.

If you’re someone who likes getting a massage after a long day, it’s a must for your hotel to have a spa & wellness center (and a room-service massage, too, if you like!). Or, if you’ve only brought with you a few clothes and are likely to need access to the nearest laundry facility, it’s best to stay at a hotel that offers one.

Make a list of everything you expect your hotel to have, and then start choosing accommodations from there.

Dining options

Some days (or nights), you just don’t feel like going the distance for a meal. When everyone’s exhausted from the day’s tours, it’s best to stay within the hotel’s vicinity for a quick bite. Some hotels have multiple dining options, from multi-award restaurants to quick service popular with kids.

Hotel Reviews

Taking the time to scan online reviews of the hotels will, frankly, save you from disappointments. Guest feedback can tell you more about the hotel’s overall service, facilities, and room quality than the official hotel website.
