Embark on a 5-day Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage Festival and meet new friends. Or perhaps go with a group and experience all that nature has to offer. Learn from the guidance of some of the nation’s leading botanical experts as well as Appalachian wildlife authorities.

There will be no onsite registration this year. The Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage Festival online registration is available here.

Full access to the event is $150. Students (K-12, undergraduate, graduate) get a huge discount and will only pay $30. 

About Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage Festival

It’s not just about the wildflowers. Each year, hundreds of participants leave the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage Festival feeling refreshed and more in tune with nature. 

Fun Fact: Approximately 45% of the pilgrims are repeat attendees, and some have been attending for more than 20 years! Attendees span a wide range of ages – from high school students to retired adults.

There are various programs and ways to explore the Great Smoky Mountain’s natural and cultural resources. During the pilgrimage, daily AM and PM programs include guided wildflower hikes at Chestnut Top Trail, Nature Journaling at Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area, touring the Natural History Museum at Twin Creeks, and much more.

There are dozens of programs to choose from to fill your solo or group pilgrimage itinerary.

COVID Information

The Spring Wildflower Festival strongly supports the recommendations of the (CDC). Thus, participants will be required to show proof of complete vaccination prior to the event. A third-party verification system will be used to confirm the participant’s vaccination status separate from the registration. 

Wearing face coverings at the Festival is not mandatory at this time, although guidelines may be updated depending on the recommendations of the CDC and WHO.
