Inject sweetness into your Halloween celebration when you visit Hershey’s Chocolate World, hang out with your favorite LEGO friends, or step through an abandoned prison to experience the horrors behind its walls. Philadelphia is ready to give everyone a good time.

Trick-or-Treat Trail

There’s no better place to go trick-or-treating than the World’s Largest Hershey’s Store. Families with youngsters will be in sweet-scented heaven the moment they step inside Hershey’s Chocolate World. On top of several trails wherein kiddies can collect the yummiest chocolates and candies, there will be a chocolate factory tour ride, a 4D movie screening, and more treats.

The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular

When: September 17, 2022, to November 6, 2022

Brace yourself for serious fun at The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place. The park will transform into a not-so-spooky Halloween destination filled with silly, seasonal displays.

Enjoy trick-or-treating around the area, join an interactive Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, and watch themed shows and parades joined by all your favorite furry friends, including Bert, Ernie, and Big Bird. The Sesame Street Halloween Parade also showcases ten floats, all decorated with colorful displays and music.

Plus, there will be unique photo opportunities, so come in your best costume! Other fang-tastic activities include:

  • Furry Friends Halloween Dance Party
  • The Not-Too-Spooky Howl-O-Ween Radio Show
  • Halloween Dining

Brick-or-Treat

When: October to November 2022

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia has been a favorite among kids and parents with educational and thrilling activities. This Halloween, the park invites everyone for a bricktacular celebration bursting with goodies, spooky decorations, and themed entertainment.

The center also features a LEGO-themed ride, 4D cinema, and meet-and-greet, making it a must-visit Halloween getaway. Gather your little master builders now!

The event is free with a LEGOLAND Discovery Center admission.

Boo at the Zoo

When: October 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 5 PM

This beloved annual Halloween spectacular is back with three fun-filled weekends of fall treats, live entertainment, and seasonal decorations.

Boo at the Zoo also features fun children’s arts and crafts or face painting. So, wear your favorite costumes and go trick-or-treating around the Zoo, taste all the fall goodies, and make the most of photo opportunities.

Once you’ve experienced all the spooky fun, make time for your favorite animals. Meet and get up close and personal with a lion, gorilla, and otters! Reserve your tickets here.

The Official Halloween Bar Crawl

Roam the Philadelphia streets and indulge in local beers or cocktails with your friends or fellow bar crawlers this Halloween. The Official Halloween Bar Crawl has put together the ultimate list of nightclubs and bars!

Don’t forget to don your favorite costumes before heading out! Over $2500 in prizes and cash is up for grabs throughout the event. Plus, the first 200 crawlers will receive souvenir cups.  

Tickets range from $14.99 to $24.99.

Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary

When: September 23, 2022, through November 12, 2022

Have you ever been inside an abandoned prison? Eastern State Penitentiary opens its 10-acre historic site for an immersive and frightening Halloween experience this scariest time of the year. Enter the cell blocks after dark, take a trip to five different haunted houses, and join disturbing historical tours. Just watch your step while wandering through the area… you don’t want to disturb the resident ghosts and ghouls.

Plus, there will be themed bars and lounges featuring live music and food specials, where you can hide from all the scares. Can’t seem to calm your nerves even after a drink? Then, distract yourself with a live performance by the Skeleton Crew.
