Description

Experience over 100 acres of thrills and adventure at Six Flags Over Georgia! With over 45 rides, heart-pounding roller coasters, live shows and seasonal festivals like Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park, the Six Flags Atlanta Georgia theme park offers a full day of fun for the entire family.

Located off I-20 just west of Atlanta, Six Flags Over Georgia is known as the "thrill capital of the South." Among over a dozen of its thrill rides, thrill-seekers won't want to miss Twisted Cyclone. This classic wooden structure is combined with a modern, steel track for multiple inversions and a smoother, more thrilling riding experience.

Take a swirling and dizzying journey on two villainous thrill rides in Gotham City. Feel the lash of the CATWOMAN Whip™, a seven-story and adrenaline-pumping wheel that spins horizontally and vertically. And jump into a pod on POISON IVY Toxic Spin™ for a topsy-turvy experience.

Pandemonium is the perfect mix of mayhem and adrenaline. Towering at a staggering 15 stories tall, Pandemonium is the tallest swinging pendulum ride in the Southeast. This impressive giant disk reaches speeds up to 70 miles per hour as it whips back and forth – higher and higher giving riders an exhilarating riding experience as they soar high above the Atlanta city skyline.

Don't miss JUSTICE LEAGUE™: Battle for Metropolis, the first interactive ride with the 3D animation and a 4D ride experience; SkyScreamer, a swing ride that spins around a 242-foot tower at speeds up to 40 mph; Mind Bender, a triple-loop roller coaster; Dare Devil Dive, a coaster with a steeper-than-vertical plunge and three inversions; and Thunder River, a white-water rafting adventure.

Among its other exhilarating coasters are Superman™: Ultimate Flight, which turns riders upside down in a pretzel-shaped loop; Batman™: The Ride, which carries visitors through loops and a corkscrew spin; The Georgia Scorcher, said to be one of the region's tallest and fastest stand-up roller coasters; and the towering Goliath, that sits at over 200 feet tall and travels up to 70 mph. Adults and kids alike will enjoy the surprises in Monster Mansion.

DC™ Super Friends and Bugs Bunny Boomtown are two areas designed for kids that have 12 rides and attractions including a bouncing drop tower, a small coaster, an interactive water ride, and a Ferris wheel. For those seeking water fun, Hurricane Harbor (a separately-ticketed attraction) offers the award-winning Tsunami Surge and massive Calypso Bay Wave Pool.

Be sure to bring a swimsuit and a towel and check out Hurricane Harbor water park (not included in Six Flags ticket); changing facilities are available on site. Hurricane Harbor is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Lines were long with employees not fitting maximum amount on ride resulting in 1.5 hour wait. No drink or ice available after paying over $20 for drink cup. Most employees were rude and seemed to not want to be there! Park is NASTY; not same experience as when I was younger and loved six flags Georgia. Had to pay $160 for express pass for 2 to ensure getting into fright fest haunted houses. It could be made better with a leader that cares and ensures all employees do a better job!

Parking is $30!!!!!!! Slice of pizza is $18 4 chicken fingers is $20…. Long wait on all rides, several attractions closed, absolutely ridiculous pricing on everything ! Will never bring a baby or toddler back. They will not allow outside food or drinks in. The walk from the parking lot to the park is crazy! If you don’t have a wagon, wheelchair or stroller you can ride the tram from parking lot to the park. I can only HOPE the water park is better.

"One of the better Six Flags parks"

I think the kind of day youre going to have at this park greatly depends on how you set your expectations. If youre used to Six Flags parks like I am and know what to expect, then you'll probably have a blast. If youre making the trip from Florida and are used to the parks down there you'll probably hate it. Yes, the food is expensive however if you have the dining plan you can help deter the cost. Everything was a walk on for us. If you have young ones I highly recommend this park because of the amount of roller coasters and other rides with low height requirements. There are actually more roller coasters that my 49 inch, 5 year old can ride here than at my larger home park of Six Flags Great Adventure. They have a very solid ride lineup that. I thought the park was clean by Six Flags standards. The employees were friendly but young which is what you find at all Six Flags parks. The layout can get very confusing, there are some dead ends, so definitely use the app if youre not familiar with the layout. All and all, a great place to spend the day with your family.

"A Very Good Theme Park"

I have been to this park many times, and I am a membership pass holder. A friend and I included this park on our East Coast roller coaster trip this summer. The park was clean; the employees were friendly; the rides were in good condition. The food was not bad for a park. The only "bad" thing was that the new coaster was not ready yet, and the new coaster from last year, Kid Flash, was also down. It was not operating when I came here in December of 2023. I know that management will not operate rides unless they are safe for patrons, but it is disappointing not to be able to ride them. Outside that, it was a good day.
