"Awesome experience!!"
September 2019
We took our grand daughters and we ALL had a blast! Our youngest is a homebody at age six, so it was a hard sell to convince her to go. The older one, age 9, is always up for an adventure. We went to the perches and they got to hold some birds. This was fun, but you are supposed to wait for a worker to hand you a bird. There didn’t seem to be enough workers for the crowd. Of course, this was Labor Day weekend, so they may not have anticipated the amount of people. It was still fun. Next, we walked through and looked at the beautiful birds in cages. That was fun because many interacted with us. We also went to the Lory. That was our favorite! The girls loved the birds flying to them and landing on their arms and heads to drink the delicious nectar. My husband and I also enjoyed the experience!! The gardens were beautiful and well kept and the Prayer Garden was beautiful! We would definitely do it again. The one thing I would suggest is to have more child-oriented toys in the gift shop. Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The food was reasonably priced and delicious.

Tip: Park at the top. If we had had to park at the foot of the mountain and walked up, I would have never made it!! ??

This was our first trip to parrot mountain and will not be our last. Had a great time. The birds were amazing. I loved getting to hold them and feed them. The staff were very friendly. This is a great place to bring kids, but adults love it too.

Tip: It is a little steep in walking around. But so worth it if you can manage. Also, they have golf carts to rent, if you can't get around good.

We loved this place! SO much fun & the grounds are very beautiful too! The birds are VERY interactive-even the ones in the cages. The best part was the section where the birds are loose on their perches & you can walk right up to them to feed them & hold them. They sell feed for 25 cents for a palm full & There is a change machine that took $1 or $5 bills to give quarters. There is another great section (room) towards the end where the babies are & you can hold them too(no feeding though here). Then at the end there are VERY clean bathrooms, a gift shop & hot& cold food/drinks at fair prices-lots of areas to picnic at tables. We spoke with the Hispanic lady who worked at the deli & she spoke so highly of the owners & how nice they were & then as we were leaving we actually met them there! The wife and also the husband. Nice, friendly people & love to support family businesses. Spent about 2 hours there but you could easily spend more if u eat, picnic, shop. Free parking!

"Different fun place"

This place is on a mountain so it may be difficult for those with physical disabilities. But we found it very different and lots of fun. You pay your entrance fee and they do offer to take your picture with the birds. The photo was $20 and a great picture but not the best quality. They need a higher quality camera if they are going to sell the pictures. You go into an area with about 50 birds sitting on perches and you can feed all those without signs saying not to feed or touch. The birds are so cute and it is interesting to see them eat. Some say hello. Staff members can help you put them on your shoulders. It is alot of fun. You can take as many pictures as you like with your own camera. There is a lorikeet feeding area which is $2. I think the admission is high enough without paying $2 to feed them. Why not lower the price? The rest is walking through and seeing various exotic birds in cages which was cool as well. There is a prayer garden which was peaceful and nice. Staff was very friendly and there is a good gift shop with many cool items for sale. There is a bird nursery with birds for sale which was fun, but I don't think I would buy from here as it is expensive and some have had problems. There is a $1 coupon in one of the coupon books. We liked it very much.

This was a serenity garden that was beautiful & cool from the sun! The birds were amazing! First place I have been to that you actually get to handle the birds! It was amazing & educational! The only negative is it sets on a steep hill but for the ones that can't walk it they have golf cart tours that are ran by guides that were amazing to listen to even if you werent in the tour group! Will come back every time I go to pigeon forge!!!

"Warning: birds sold here may be sick."

Beautiful gardens, beautiful birds. I hesitate to warn people as I appreciate that they give a home to birds needing one. However, we bought a 6 week old Eclectus from their breeding birds on site and within just a few weeks of taking her home that she had an aggressive sarcoma she was born with and had to have her leg removed in emergency surgery to keep it from killing her. University of Tennessee’s avian specialists vets made the recommendation and did the surgery- they are a top vet school in the US- they know what they are doing. We kept one of the owners/Bella informed from the beginning and sent her all medical documents and copies of receipts as she requested, but didn’t hear anything from her for weeks as our emails and phone calls were not returned and our requests for reimbursement were ignored. The bird they sold us as a supposedly healthy bird cost $3400. The treatment to save her life cost $3400. We’ve not received any reimbursement for the expense of getting their such bird treated and they’ve said nothing about no longer breeding the pair that produced her, which apparently should be stopped due to the genetic issue of this cancer. We are extremely disappointed that they have avoided taking any responsibility for selling a sick bird and still have not made this right with us.
