"Awesome experience!!"
September 2019
We took our grand daughters and we ALL had a blast! Our youngest is a homebody at age six, so it was a hard sell to convince her to go. The older one, age 9, is always up for an adventure. We went to the perches and they got to hold some birds. This was fun, but you are supposed to wait for a worker to hand you a bird. There didn’t seem to be enough workers for the crowd. Of course, this was Labor Day weekend, so they may not have anticipated the amount of people. It was still fun. Next, we walked through and looked at the beautiful birds in cages. That was fun because many interacted with us. We also went to the Lory. That was our favorite! The girls loved the birds flying to them and landing on their arms and heads to drink the delicious nectar. My husband and I also enjoyed the experience!! The gardens were beautiful and well kept and the Prayer Garden was beautiful! We would definitely do it again. The one thing I would suggest is to have more child-oriented toys in the gift shop. Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The food was reasonably priced and delicious.

Tip: Park at the top. If we had had to park at the foot of the mountain and walked up, I would have never made it!! ??

This was our first trip to parrot mountain and will not be our last. Had a great time. The birds were amazing. I loved getting to hold them and feed them. The staff were very friendly. This is a great place to bring kids, but adults love it too.

Tip: It is a little steep in walking around. But so worth it if you can manage. Also, they have golf carts to rent, if you can't get around good.

There are parrots of all sizes and colors. You can spend a lot of time there looking at the birds and sitting in quiet area. They have a nursery with baby birds that you can hold and purchase if you'd like. I loved it. One of my favorite stops.

You should be a bird lover to spend that much on a ticket. Its very small so you can get around quickly. Interactive feeding experiences and baby bird room. They have a small snack shop, nice eating area. Gift shop could be greatly enhanced.

We planned to go to Dollywood but it was full that day so we wound up at Parrot Mountain and loved it. It is in a beautiful setting and the staff was wonderful. The birds were amazing, and we're so glad we went. We finished our visit with lunch at their small cafe and were introduced to the resident kitty when Mickey decided to join us by climbing up on my lap(she must have known I'm a cat person) and sitting with me while my husband picked up our lunch. Great place to visit!
