"Bugs in Hotel Room"

My mom and I decided to stay for a girls trip during the week. We woke up in the middle if the night and there were centipedes crawling in our bathroom and room itself. It was awful. Ewww! Wouldn’t recommend unless you are okay with bugs. Great location otherwise.

"A nice getaway!"

This is a well appointed hotel, close to everything, yet off the main drag (Parkway), with a great staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful and efficient. The drawback for me was the in-room accessibility features. As a whole, the property itself seems easily accessible. In the room, the shower was less so. In lieu of a free-standing shower chair there was a seat attached to the back wall at the top ledge of the tub. This seat simply folded down to the top front edge of the tub, with a couple inches overhang. I assume this is for someone transferring from a wheelchair. However, it would be too low. Once seated in the shower, you can't reach the soap/shampoo dispensers. I believe the design and positioning is likely for liability purposes; I just wish the designers consulted with a differently abled person beforehand. All in all, I would definitely recommend this property, though, especially if you're looking for a getaway that is a step above.

"Wonderful stay and highly recommend this Lodge."

We had a very nice 4day/3night stay in early June at the Black Fox Lodge Pigeon Forge. The positives were many. Very comfortable beds, a/c works great, clean bathroom, had breakfast one morning and it was an excellent meal, if a little pricey. Staff seemed friendly and honored the "do not disturb" door hanger. Ice bucket and ice down the hall, coffee w/coffee maker and condiments, plenty of pillows, view overlooking the pool. Very few negatives. The washcloths and towels were well stocked but the towels were the size of hand towels I use to dry my dishes. Note: bring your own bath towels/or beach towels. The beds were made and comfortable but one pillow had 2 small drops of fresh blood on it and of course we didn't use that bed or pillow. The handicapped bathroom was great. Lots of hot water and good pressure but my pet peeve was the shower curtain was 4 inches off the floor and the entire floor of the bathroom ended up wet after our showers. So the very small bath towels helped soak up the splashes. This was our first visit to the Smokey Mountains in 35 years and a lot has changed in all that time but the stay at this hotel was most pleasant and we would love to come back. ( Live geese greeted us daily.}

It is recommended to consider enhancing the customer service at the front desk of this well-constructed hotel, which is conveniently located in the heart of all the attractions in Pigeon Forge. Although the rooms are dated, they are well-maintained, and the housekeeping staff is consistently cheerful and welcoming. It would be preferable if breakfast were available as advertised, as the buffet mentioned was not provided. In conclusion, it was a pleasant and peaceful night for a Mother's Day weekend getaway.

"Mostly Good, Breakfast Not So Good"

My manfriend, grandson (22 yrs. old), and I stayed at the Black Fox Lodge Pigeon Forge for the Ponies in the Smokies event. Staff was professional and friendly, beds were comfortable, room was clean. We liked everything about the lodge except the breakfast. My grandson had 2 free coupons for the breakfast which he gave us as a thank you. He said he'd pay for his own breakfast, which he did.. $18.00! for food that was not that good. Eggs were cold, we tried BOTH toasters to toast our breads..neither one worked..the bread never did toast after trying it 3 times each, couldn't eat the gravy. I will say the fruit was fresh and good, but as for the rest, only "ok"...Overall, though, we did enjoy our stay and the room was good, although body wash container was empty. We had enough of everything else (soaps, towels, washcloths, toilet paper, etc.) I'd go back again, certainly...but I would eat breakfast elsewhere.
