  • Pet Policy: The Ramsey Hotel & Convention Center is a Small Dog-Friendly Hotel that welcomes up to 40 lbs of small dogs only. Small dogs are charged at $40.00 plus tax NIGHTLY, per small dog and the guest is charged an additional and refundable $250.00 incidental deposit, per reservation. A maximum of two small dogs per guest room is permitted. Strictly no other kind of pet is permitted on property. Guests that do NOT register their small dog(s) are subject to a $500.00 plus tax penalty. ADA-defined service animals are welcome at no extra cost.
  • Guests who reside in local East Tennessee counties, including but not limited to Blount, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, and Sevier may be subject to a $250 incidental deposit.
  • Guests with vehicles towing a trailer must contact the property in advance. Parking for vehicles with trailers is limited to 1 space per room, and trailers cannot exceed 24 feet (7.3 meters) in length. There is a fee of USD 75 (tax not included) for trailer parking. Due to any unforeseen circumstances at the time of your stay, trailer parking may be subject to availability.

We booked 3 rooms. At check-in only one room was ready, by 430 with me tracking down towels the 2nd room was ready. At 5:30 when we wanted to head to dinner room 3 wasn't ready still so that family had to shower and get ready in our room. I went and asked what was holding up the 3rd room. They were missing a towel and a tea k-pod. That was why we couldn't check in at 3pm for that room. Really? There was no apologies about it. Then at 9:30 the next morning housekeeping knocks on our door and I yelled from the bathroom where I was getting ready. She came in on me as I was naked trying to get ready. At 9:40 a man walked into my room. What the hell? Neither apologized to me. I called the front desk and they said it was because the employees don't speak English. NOT an excuse for coming into someone's room after they've yelled that they'd be to the door in a minute. The rooms were poorly remodeled. The furniture is stained and worn. There is no vent in the bathroom. The ceiling was falling apart. It wasn't worth the price they're charging for the service we received. The 2nd morning the same thing with housekeeping barging in even with the Do Not Disturb sign up. We had called for maintenance because our toilet wouldn't flush due to a prior guest trying to flush a credit card and a bad gasket in the tank. I wasn't reaching my hand in the toilet. We told them we'd be gone all day. No one showed up to fix it. Again, no apologies from management or employees. Very disappointing and disrespectful.

Upon arrival to our room we found bugs in the bathroom. I requested a different room but no room was available. They did send maintenance to our room to spray and we had to leave the room for 45 minutes. I requested a new room for the next night and was able to get moved. Very disappointed with the issue with our room. I requested compensation for the problems we encountered but was told I would have to go thru 3rd party since I booked with 3rd party. I have contacted Agoda and they in turn have contacted the property about compensation and the hotel has not responded. Very unhappy !

I love staying at The Ramsey Hotel & Convention Center. This was the 10th Anniversary for my friends that I met there while traveling. We go back every year since. It's like home, to us. Always clean, comfortable, affordable. The free breakfast is a great fest to start our day. Nice restaurants & spirits are within walking distance. Friendly & helpful staff are alway ready to help. Family friendly. We love the huge fireplace in the lobby to relax & sit with free hot coffee. It's lovely.

The lobby was so well decorated for Christmas, it felt like a Hallmark movie scene. The lady at the breakfast buffet was so so nice. Our room was newly remodeled. The only complaint I would say is the cleaning was not great (although they did make the bed pretty well each day). I would stay here again but the cleaning people have to step up their game.
