"First bad experience in a long time."

Hi I was totally unhappy with our stay at River Place Inn. We booked for New Years Eve. Just a one night stay thank heavens. The room was disgusting. The chair in the room was all stained no way was we going to sit on it. The floor was nasty. Bathroom looked like it had barely been cleaned. It was later when we got there do to being at Dollywood. Left early because we had over a 12 hour drive.

Tip: I feel if you're going to charge 250.00 dollars for a room it should be way nicer than this was.

The first night we were put in a very bad room but after discussions with manager moved to a very good room with access to the stream. This is why the rating is a 4.

Tip: Ask for room with access to the stream.

"DON'T DO IT!!!!!"

We will not stay at this hotel again. From the probable drug dealer that was lurking in the parking lot every evening to the fact that there was not one table in the room-they had pulled the only chair beside the bed and placed the telephone and TV remove in the seat of the chair. We had to turn the garbage can over and use it for a small table. There was a large mystery stain on the carpet. The morning we left, the office did not open at the time they were supposed to so we left our key card in the key card box and could left and could not leave a complaint.

We checked late Thursday night, The hotel attendant called to make sure that we were still coming which was very thoughtful, Room was clean and we had a balcony with a view, Hotel Staff was very friendly and made you feel welcome

Tip: Take your own toileteries, there was a small bar of soap that you could use to wash hands with.

Had to wait to get in our room on the first day while housekeeper on her phone. Room not very clean and door left open when we did get in. Very small room. Then housekeeper never cleaned our room the second night or brought new towels or wash clothes.
