Description

from Sunrise Ridge Resort
Check-In: 5:00pm Check-Out: 10:00am
Sunrise Ridge is nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, and just a few miles from Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and the national park itself. You can lose yourself in nature’s wonder from your balcony or one of the resort’s three swimming pools. At Sunrise Ridge, there are no bad seats from which to watch a sunrise or sunset, see the fog that gives the Smokies their name, and enjoy the colors.

Of course, a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must. Enjoy camping, hiking, and rafting in the warmer months, skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and some of the most spectacular scenery found anywhere all year long. Live entertainment abounds, too, in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, where you can choose from a variety of shows, sip a bit of mountain moonshine, or visit the Hollywood Wax Museum.

Although the staff wore masks there was no indication that additional cleaning efforts had been performed. The pools were overcrowded just as all the sites in the area. NO ONE in town was wearing masks or social distancing!!! Most of the time, we could not get out of the car due to the ignorance regarding the pandemic.

We had a very enjoyable stay. While not a big resort, there were three pools, small playground. The cottage we were in was clean. Great place not in the craziness of the parkway and allowed access to the majority of the strip from the back of the Eastside of the strip. Grocery store was just a couple minutes away with easy access not having to fight the traffic. The cottage we were in had a loft with 2 twin beds, and then 2 bedrooms in the main floor with king beds. Pillows were awesome!! Parking for our unit was right in front of it, so unloading was a breeze. This property also has 6 floorish high rise at the top of the hill, while the cottages are in a ring around and below it. You could hear the fireworks from Dollywood every night, and could see them from the pool, and even better if you were in the high rise.

Sunset is beautiful; I did not g et a glimplse of sunrise. The complex was very well maintained and check in went smoothly. I would stay here anytime I am in Pigeon Forge. The grounds were manicured and the view was amazing.

We loved our stay at Sunrise Ridge. The resort is convenietly located and we could avoid the typical Pigeon Forge bumper to bumper traffic. Condo was clean and spacious. Pools and hot tubs well maintained. One of my favorite things was watching the fireworks from the Island Friday and Saturday evenings from our balcony. Will definitely stay here again.

"A Total Hit with the whole family!"

We planned this vacay 10 months in advance and reserved 3 units: a 1 BR, 2 BR/2Ba and a Pedestal cabin with 2 BR 2 Ba plus a loft. Our 4 family units were all delighted with the whole experience. The kitchens are full and have updated appliances. The furniture was decent although the leather recliners need replacing. Beds were comfortable with excellent pillows and the bathrooms were complete and everything worked. Our pedestal had two porches which was greatly appreciated. The views were great from all units. We loved the pool areas with kiddie pool, heated main pool and decent hot tub. The fire pit with gas lighter was a major league hit. There were also multiple grills and eating areas outside. I give Sunrise Ridge a high rating because of all the above and especially its secluded location on leafy mountainous Ridge Road while being only minutes from all the activity and strip. There is also a new Food City complete with Starbucks just minutes away at the end of Ridge Road and Teaster which adds a high quality amenity so very close. If you have family(ies) this is your place in Pigeon Forge!
