"These people really know what they are doing"

This was a fun, interactive, and interesting way to check out the Fulton Market neighborhood in Chicago. I had actually lived in this area for about a decade, and was impressed by how much they had really dug into the local culture, history, and people. There were so many things I didn't know! Our tour guide Alex was terrific and the food choices were fabulous (although not necessarily the fancy stuff that you might expect from that neighborhood).

"Monadnack Building Plus"

We took a short walking tour of the historic preservation of the Monadnock Building with a most knowledgeable guide. We learned the difference between renovation and restoration, the fascinating history of the building itself, and observed first-hand the details which render this building to have a legitimate feel of the 90s...that would be 1890s. As someone who has walked by the building often, it was a wonderful revelation. The contrast between this restored building and the renovated Fisher building across the street was very clear. The building is truly a Chicago treasure.

"Super Tour"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Had a super tour with Alex. He provided a great amount of information. Learned some interesting facts about the sights and history of the buildings we toured or passed by. Alex used a couple of quiz formats as vehicles to share historical and current facts; when relating info, he spoke quickly but clearly to and appropriately loud for our group size; he allowed time for group members to take photos. We experienced the pedway; have you even heard of it?! The tour was a fun way to explore some sights we might have otherwise missed. See the tour info for specifics.

An excellent tour led by a very knowledgeable guide, Marie. What made this tour different from other tours I’ve been on was the interactive nature of the tour. While seeing sights I know well I not only learned new things, but Marie’s insightful questions made me see familiar places with new eyes.
