The sweet spot here is for children four to six years old. There is a Duplo area that the two and three year olds enjoyed but they would do just as well at a decent park. The first ride was enjoyed by our entire group; shooting our laser pistols at fixed targets while going through a dark tunnel was just good, competitive fun! A second ride is clearly for the smaller people but just as engaging. They need to pedal their carts to make them go up and down while going 'round and 'round. The short, 4D film (What's 4D? I'm not telling...) is clearly geared to the young ones who appeared to enjoy the experience. The brilliantly executed Lego models are amazing. Of particular interest were the many Chicago buildings on display. In this area, tablets were used to provide statistics and information about these structures. Did you know the Fire House on Michigan Avenue is built from the same as that used for the Water Tower? As expected, there are multiple opportunities to build Lego things. Some are just stations with blocks but there is also a dedicated room with a helper. Speaking of helpers, they were all wonderfully nice and, well, helpful when needed. Plan to spend between 90 and 120 minutes with much of that time just watching the young ones have a good time. Please note: 1. Time slots are reserved. Purchase tickets on the Lego website. 2. Prices vary depending on admission time. 3. I purchased the extras for one of the children in our group. He didn't care about them at all. Lastly, there is plenty of parking at the "The Streets of Woodfield" strip mall. Don't be confused; there is a Lego store in "The Woodfield Mall" just down the street. The Discovery Center is on Martingale Road!

Disgusting. Absolutley disgusting, dirty and smelly, I can not believe this place charges you to enter. My two toddlers watched a lady undress herself on the lower level, shirt and all while she threw up all over the floor. She was clearly on something. Nobody was helping her. Not one staff member. We left. I’ll be calling their management or HQ shortly.

Only ADA-defined service animals are permitted inside LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Schaumburg. Due to health and safety parameters, trained service animals are not however permitted to ride on rides or enter restricted ride areas. Rides that do not permit trained service animals include Kingdom Quest and Merlin's Apprentice.

Is the LEGOLAND wheelchair accessible?

Yes, LEGOLAND Discover Center Chicago is fully accessible for visitors with disabilities and wheelchair users. However, they do not provide wheelchair or stroller rentals.

Guests that are a half hour late or more for their reservation will enter the "I Have Tickets" line, but may experience a longer than usual wait time.
