Featuring views of the city or the Chicago River, every room at Royal Sonesta Chicago provides a 48-inch flat-screen TV, iPod docking station and small refrigerator. Free bottled water and a coffee maker are also included.

The hotel's modern American tavern, Hoyt's, serves Midwestern-inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also features views of the Chicago River. A business center, ballroom and meeting space are available on-site and valet parking for guest convenience.

The Art Institute of Chicago and Millennium Park are both less than a mile away from the hotel. The Theater District is a 5-minute walk away.

Upon check-in, guests will receive a QR code that grants a discounted rate at the parking garage. The discounted rate for self-parking is $56 per night.

We had such a great experience at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown! From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming. The valet service was smooth, and Kass was especially amazing—super helpful and friendly, which made a great first impression. Check-in was just as nice. The staff walked us through everything and made sure we felt comfortable right away. Honestly, everyone we interacted with was kind and welcoming, which really made the stay even better. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back on our next trip!

Location was alright and parking was close. But in my mind a hotel needs good WiFi. This does not have good WiFi. The sign in page should automatically come up and it did not. I have stayed at Motel 6s and Super 8s with better WiFi. I would not recommend this if you need to use anything connected to the internet. Additionally, I tried to call for help and the phone in the room has a button for “guest services” that button is not working he desk and is instead the main call center who can’t help you with anything. I absolutely would not stay here again and I would not want to recommend anyone do so.

Our stay was wonderful. Great location along the river. Staff was amazing. Arturo was present everyday and always greeted us with a smile. He went out of his way to make us feel at home and to help with anything we needed. Lucas was also amazing, welcoming us back each time we walked through the doors. They both went above and beyond to make our stay even more wonderful.

We had a great stay, mainly because of Lucas. He is a personable and extremely helpful Jack of several trades. Lucas assisted us with porter duties, parking, directions, superb dining recommendations, and more—from the minute we pulled up to the hotel through our final night. He’s the most attentive hotel employee I’ve ever encountered in my 55 years of traveling. THANK YOU LUCAS!

We had an incredible time staying at the Royal Sonesta and we will absolutely be back. It is in the perfect location for Michigan Avenue andall downtown attractions but the star of the show was the customer service. They were incredible and very accommodating the entire trip a special thanks to Arturo for helping us with anything and everything.
