Club Quarters Hotel, Wacker at Michigan in Chicago, IL

I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. While the room itself was acceptable, the overall experience fell short, largely due to service and comfort issues. The front desk staff were not very welcoming. Interactions felt rushed and transactional, with staff doing the bare minimum and giving the impression they would rather be elsewhere. No helpful information was offered about the surrounding area—such as nearby restaurants, things to do, or general directions—which is something I expect from a hotel front desk. The biggest issue, however, was that the air conditioning in our room did not work. The room remained very warm throughout the night, making it extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. This significantly impacted our stay and is not something that should happen at any hotel, regardless of price point. Between the lack of hospitality and the non-functioning air conditioning, this stay did not meet expectations. I would think twice before staying here again unless these issues are addressed.

The staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. They took the time to assist my brother and I with everything we needed.

On a daily biases we were told hey you need to pay this or that. They don't tell you they don't have parking only valet and it ended up costing me $400 that I was not prepared to pay so my 1st experience in Chicago wasn't as great as I expected since my budget changed due to this.
