"Perfect location and fantastic service"

Stayed here for my birthday trip with my partner. This was my first time in Chicago and this hotel definitely helped make my experience special. The staff was so kind to us in every interaction and we even got an upgrade to a room that faced the river! The location is perfectly convenient, walking distance from many popular attractions, restaurants & bars, and also public transport. The hotel itself was charming and clean. We absolutely loved the free water stations at every floor and also the free coffee available in our room! Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in the heart of Chicago who wants to experience as much as they can in the city!

"Room too small for 2 people and luggage for two"

The room was very small with a king size bed, it was a standard room. It was crowded with both our luggage. One side of the bed was against the wall. The window view was great and it was clean.

Overall, do not stay here. Price is high for what you get : cramped rooms ,worn dirty carpet, maid service not automatic (upon request) , have to pay alot for early check in or checkout Even w address uber had trouble finding hotel due to limited signage. Said "never heard if it" The only 2 redeeming things were: Front desk persons friendly Central location I would not return. Many other options available

For an anniversary surprise, I booked an Amtrak train ride to Chicago from New Orleans because my wife had not experienced either. I chose the River/Club Quarters based on its location and favorable online reviews. Such reviews can be a gamble, but in this case, it was quite a good choice. The hotel is set in a beautiful 1920's building that has been updated in a way that preserved its architectural charm. The revolving door, the marble lobby, and a sweeping marble staircase lent an atmosphere of a trip back to a century ago. Yet the room and the staff left no doubt that this was a place for the modern traveler to experience service at its finest. The front desk staff (and I must shout out Pedro who was truly a gem) were pleasant and eager to see that we enjoyed our Chicago sojourn. They provided a marvelous list of restaurants and night spots that we used to plan our evenings. Every one of the choices we tried was first rate. I am sure that the ones we did not choose were every bit as good. The location - on the river near Michigan Avenue - meant that we were able to walk to most of the things that we wanted to do; and the other things were a short cab ride away. All in all, this hotel was a very good choice for us. One other thing that I must add - on our last morning in Chicago, we suffered from a stomach bug that was going around Chicago. The staff found a way for us to extend our stay for a few precious hours which gave us the chance to beat the bug and be able to ride home in relatively good shape. This was above-and-beyond service; and my wife and I are extremely grateful to all involved. They truly cared about us as persons and not just numbers - a rare attitude these days, and one most appreciated.

This hotel is really good! We stayed 3 nights, 4 days. The hotel building is historic/older so expect that to show in areas, but everything is clean, well kept and cared for. We booked a basic room, it is small but was perfect for my husband and I. We got a beautiful river view room. It was clean and bed was comfy. I see complaints of Elevator waits, it’s an active hotel & city, we experience the same elevator waits at modern neighboring hotels. It’s no difference and should not be a deal breaker. All of the staff at CQ are amazing!!!! Checkin & out is a breeze, they are so welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Everything you hope for with travel! We needed help to unload luggage at checkin and the cart was brought out to us immediately!!! Then at check out they offered to store our bags while we went for a car rental to get back to airport. When we got back with rental the front desk knew we had flights. And they helped grab bags and load up! They are phenomenal.
