This was a great tour and we would highly recommend! Our tour guide “Troy” was great. He was super knowledgeable and personable to spend the day with. The tour of Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri was humbling and awe inspiring. It was neat seeing Waikiki beach but it made my family thankful we stayed on Maui due to how busy Waikiki was. It was a long day but well worth it. Thank you Polynesian Adventure Tours!

"They're Closing the Mountain"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

From the minute we were pickup at the hotel the driver was saying they are going to close the mountain and we won't be able to see anything. At what point do you cancel this? She made it clear that they "had to offer" to let us see the sunrise in a downpour with very heavy winds. At one point I was going to leave the tour after coming down the mountain, we had to stay together to have breakfast, I'm sure because it was part of the tour. You people have been doing this for many years, you know when the mountain is going to be closed, so why drag hundreds of people is VERY DANGEROUS conditions to then drive us back down in VERY DANGEROUS conditions. I know it's all about the money, but I assume something could be worked out. Very disappoint at the whole process and lack of safety for the almighty buck!

"A very informative tour"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

I booked the Pearl Harbor, USS Arizona Memorial tour and honolulu highlights tour via Expedia. Our tour guide Troy was very informative and regarding the history of Hawaii (ie the monarchy), the current concerns affecting Hawaiians ie homelessness and lack of affordable housing. The drive was very pleasant and we had great views of the Honolulu skyline. There was enough time to take pictures at a rest stop. Troy was also very knowledgeable about the events leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor and the aftermath of the attack. The only issue I had was that we had to board two buses for this tour. Once we board the second bus, I could not sit with my husband and my daughter because the last three seats were a part from each other. Ideally you would like to sit next to or near the people that you are travelling with. They do pick up and drop off from some Waikiki hotels. My only recommendation is to have one bus to avoid people not having the opportunity to sit with their family or traveling partners.

We did the Waimea Canyon, Wailua River, and Fern Grotto tour. I think every part was great. It was nice to sit back and enjoy the scenery after driving everywhere. Waimea Canyon was absolutely amazing and Fern Grotto was beautiful. Our driver Jonna was great. She was very knowledgeable about the island and the history of it.
