Ghost Tour by Best of St. Augustine
Join us aboard the trolley of the doomed, as your Ghost Host entrances you with tales of misfortune and mayhem. Hear accounts of long gone residents who can still be seen in numerous locations around the city. The tumultuous past transcends into the present as we travel through the ancient city.

The stories you’ll hear come from years of research, personal accounts and hauntingly real-life experiences.

See Scary Sights like Huguenot Cemetery
On the Ghosts & Gravestones tour you will pass by some of the scariest and most sacred sites including the Huguenot Cemetery, the final resting place of the victims of yellow fever… or was it final? Some visitors to the burial grounds have reported seeing eerie apparitions and translucent orbs floating about.

If you keep a watchful eye while passing the City Gates, you might catch a glimpse of Elizabeth, a child victim of the yellow fever, waving to passerbys.

You will also pass the Tolomoto Cemetery. Who’s playing games in the cemetery when the sun goes down? Is it the spirit of five-year-old James jumping from branch to branch in the trees or is it the Ghost Bride, still waiting for her walk down the aisle?

Hear About the Old Drug Store and Enter Potter's Wax Museum
Built on the edge of the Tolomato Cemetery sits one of St. Augustine’s most recognizable buildings, the Old Drug Store. Unexplained noises, cold spots and shadows reportedly moving on their own make up only a few of the hundreds of documented supernatural occurrences. Learn the secrets to these hauntings that have plagued the Old Drug Store from the time it first opened in 1887. Afterwards get an exclusive nighttime experience inside Potter’s Wax Museum’s Chamber of Horrors for a unique retelling of the famed pirate Andrew Ranson’s gruesome execution.

Visit the Old Jail, One of the City's Most Haunted Places
You will end your journey with a visit to the Old Jail, one of the city’s most haunted locations. Listed on the Florida and National registry of Haunted Places, the Old Jail has been site of countless supernatural occurrences. Many criminals have met their maker here. A shiv in the back or a hangman’s noose ended numerous lives. Be on the lookout for former prisoner Charlie Powell, as he is just as mischievous dead as he was alive. Visitors to the Old Jail have experienced cold spots, strange odors, loud banging noises, orbs of light and even apparitions.

Comfortable shoes are recommended so that you don’t become dead on your feet during the brief walking portion.

Length of tour: 1 hour and 20 minutes.

This tour may not be suitable for children under 13 years of age and is not recommended for children under the age of 4.

"No one wearing masks!"

Overall, the tour was a nice “story” read to us that I could have heard on a podcast. Upon our arrival there were signs around the building stating that you and your party must wear masks; however, only staff was wearing masks! I asked as we were escorted to our seat why no one was wearing masks, and they said it was optional at night- only during the day is it mandatory! They told us they would have plexiglass between the seats and that should be fine. Although we were not thrilled about this we did get seated in the last row. We could hardly hear the “stories” as many random people drove by. We could hardly see anything also because we were seated in the last row. We have taken tours in Savannah and this was NOT good compared to the Savannah tour! We didn’t even get off the trolley. We were very disappointed in everything about this trip. We saw several walking tours that looked more engaging then ours.

"A ghoulishly good time"

I love horror. I love b-movies. So this tour was right up my alley. From the pre-load (loved the atmosphere in here). Ghastly Gabby was a great hostess and knew her stuff and was fun as she hid in various corners of the tour to scare guests. Ashley the driver did her job well. Marilyn the executioner genuinely caught me off guard in Potter’s and Sword (Charley) was the right amount of crazed inmate I’d expect. If you love history and ghosts and can appreciate a bit of cheesiness, this tour is for you

"Great fun for the family"

Our family had a great time on the tour. The guide and actors were great, and everyone on staff we encountered were very friendly. It may not be the longest or most in-depth tour you'll find, but it's a good time.

"More about actors than ghosts"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

This experience is good if you have no actual desire to capture something scary. The wax museum was physically scary to walk through, and it was very guided and based on comedy rather than being aloud to explore or do anything related to finding any paranormal evidence. When you arrive at the old jail, an actor tells you 8 stories and like the wax museum, you are more scared of physical people jump scaring you, which does happen, than from any type of paranormal things. Very rushed and forced to pay attention to the actors, and even if you try to do your own type of investigation, the actor will initiate you and make sure you listen. If you are looking for a haunted hay ride experience, you will enjoy this experience. Very touristy and not serious of paranormal activity. The actors and guides don’t do horrible for the bad jobs and scripts they have been given. at multiple points I looked at my mom and was like “this is a joke right, they cant be serious?”.

"Don't take the boring Tour save your money."

Not Worth your money not impressed, while in the very first part of the Tour, another Trolly broke down, we were left at the Cementary to take pictures, they offered Ponchos for the rain, but Oliver had to go take the crew with the broken down Trolley, so there went the Ponchos. We walked to the Drug Store, and also continued to a closed wax museum, were we got cheap jokes (no one laughed) and not scary at all stories. Then we headed on another Trolley, which was in very bad conditions, were the female driver had no idea how to close the door and wanted to do it manually, Oliver had to come and teach her how to close and open the door, in addition he taught her how to turn on the microphone for the blonde tour lady, the Trolly slowly putt, putted its way releasing lots of pollution, to the jail were everything was so fake and boring, even the stories. My son asked me is this suppose to be scary? Even the tour lady said I don't make the jokes, they are part of the Tour, she stated that several times. Everyone was just not buying it. Don't take the fake and boring tour; I was expecting at least a good laugh. Simply save your money for a better Tour. Can't believe they charge so much money for such a boring tour.
