I had a large group staying here in June. Are group contact Nicole Kelly was outstanding !! She stayed to meet us at 3:00AM when we arrived. She had all 40 key packets ready so my group could check in and get to sleep. Her full service was excellent. All the front deck personal were very helpful with questions about ole town and the area. I will book any of my future tours tha are coming to the St . Augustine area.

"Building updates could make this a great place to stay"

The location was perfect. Convenient to the outlet mall, beaches, and popular eateries. The hotel is in much need of updates. Some of the outlets did not work in the room, we had to request the correct amount of linen everyday. Breakfast was $15 daily for the same food items that I received at an express hotel. Parking was $24.95 for each night even though it was self park. We also had to drive around for an additional hour to wait for an open space on our last night. The water pressure was weak which made it difficult to enjoy the shower. The cooling unit had a mind of its own. When it cutoff, it was extremely hot for hours at a time.

"Common areas needs to be more cleaning, and rooms noise reduction"

I rate 4 of 5 because common areas needs more cleaning, you could easily see dust in the lobby and in the breakfast area, the first night we have bad luck with noises at the beginning, there was a room with the tv so loud and the room upstairs we could hear big steps or someone running ( this was resolved after we called the front desk), but I think maybe rooms needs to be more noise proof.

"Great Location, Very Little More"

Attending my grandson's graduation and the location near downtown was appealing as well as the generally good quality of most DoubleTree hotels. Unfortunately, this stay was one of the more disappointing stays I have had in the past decade! Parking in the evenings was absurd, had to cross a relatively busy street with no crosswalk to get from the lot to the hotel. Second night I decided to request a late check out at 2:00 PM. Asked the gentleman (loose use of the term) and he did not look at my reservation, did not check my status to see if I was justified in the request, ... simply and immediately said he could not do any better than 12:00 noon (normal is 11:00, so really nothing on offer.). I do understand that late check out even for Diamond members (which I am) is based on availability, however he was not only rude, but did not even check. And I DID check, because he was so abrupt and rude. Not only were there many, many rooms available for that evening, and my room had not yet been cleaned when I returned at 4:00 PM the first night! I was so peeved by his attitude that the next day after my lunch down the street i decided to stop by to see, and sure enough at 3:15 they were still not cleaning he rooms on the 4th floor where I had stayed. So, I stopped at the front desk and told the manager what had transpired. Most interestingly, I did NOT receive a request for a review from the hotel after checking out, which I always do receive and generally complete. I believe that a great stay deserves both recognition and the information proves useful to others considering the hotels. I know I frequently use reviews myself to decide where to stay. Therefore, I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience and believe that the staff need to be trained on how to at least be polite and to make sure they know what they are talking about before rejecting requests out of hand. P.S. the bartender was quite friendly and helpful!!

"Great Hotel, Friendly people, great location"

Best service ever! Most friendly. Brandon was super nice, he was able to get us in the room early so we didn't have to worry about leaving our bags in the car. I don't think he ever stopped smiling. We had a nice quiet room with great soft pillows. This hotel is right where you want to be to enjoy the historic district. We could walk to so many places. I will definitely stay here again when I go back to St Augustine.
