"Great and exciting tour!"
March 2019
The Red Train tours are exciting and comical at times. I prefer the red train over the other trolley tour because they give a bit more history for people of color and more about the freedom trail. Not to mention the price is a little lower too. I've done both red train and the trolley tour, needless to say, I'm sticking with the best. Way to go Red Train!!!

"The worst experience"
November 2015
Our group was San Jose Elementary and our driver was John. My kids come from different countries so they were very excited and talkative. John was very rude and unprofessional. He threatened to do the tour in silence if they did not stop waving at people. Granted they were chatty but that's because they were excited most of them come from 3rd world countries and have never done anything like this. So there was a better for him to handle that and he didn't have to be so sarcastic. He did not handle it in a professional manner and the whole mood changed. No one had fun after that! We will not use this service again.

"Smokey's Secret Tips"
August 2015
We chose this Red Train Tour mainly because they are pet friendly and we are traveling with our little Chihuahua "Nugget". We were very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful job our driver and tour guide, Smokey did. He made each and every attraction come to life by not only providing the historical information but by offering rare, and interesting facts he researched on the subject. It was obvious that he loved his job and the city of St. Augustine. Now, we love St. Augustine, too.

"Great Narrative"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Riding the "train" was fun and a good way to see a lot of St. Augustine in a short while. But what made this tour so great was the tour guide "Smokey." He narrated our tour continuously adding information that other tour guides had not shared (we rode the train several times). He did his homework and it made a big difference.

We have done the Red Train tour numerous times, cool way to get around, see the city, and get hear some interesting history. Smokey was our tour guide this time and he added quite a bit extra we had not heard before. He was engaging with our group and made the ride interactive, informative, and fun.

This is a great way to see St Augustine. We booked this tour our first full day in town. We arrived at 9 o’clock Sunday morning. Our first tour guide was Mr. Ed. He was great!!! We did the full tour to see all the sites in town. As we went along we got a great history lesson and made notes as to what attractions we wanted to visit. Once the first tour was finished we stayed on the train to go back to the things we wanted to visit. This time we had a different driver with a similar yet very different historical perspective of St Augustine. Each driver has there own facts and personal perspective. Not a scripted program. This tour is the best way to get your bearings in a town rich in history and full of things to see and do. Plus they have free parking and it’s an all day system of transportation around town. Definitely a must do tour.

Alex was our driver. He was a wealth of knowledge. He is a schoolteacher during the school year and this is a summer job. He knew so much about every place was went. We learned a lot! We appreciated his sharing the history and his humor mixed in. Alex was a real gem. Too bad he will not be doing this year-round. We would recommend him. He's 5-star!!!!
