The hotel is very nice however the check in was a problem because I booked and prepaid thru a third party. I was advised I would have to contact 3rd party for proof of payment but after a few more minutes she did her magic to get reservation handled. Thongs were good till we returned Sat evening and were locked out of our room. It was late and we were tired and the gentleman was less than friendly and did not offer any apologizes for the incontinence. I was not pleased. The breakfast was less than expected. The milk was hot along with the orange juice. The fruit was not ripe. Not pleasant experience unfortunately.

Spent a couple of nights here more or less on a lark when a friend and I decided to visit St. Augustine. It was a last minute addition to our travel plans and a weekend, and we didn’t have many choices for lodging without spending more than we wanted to. But we knew we wanted to be in the historic district where we could easily park the car and do most of the visit walking or on the city’s trolley. It isn’t a large, historic, or fancy hotel, but it is clean, comfortable, quiet, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Beds were very comfortable. Basic breakfast included in the rate. Nothing on line that I saw mentioned it, but parking was a $25/night surcharge, which we weren’t expecting, but given the relative difficulty of FINDING parking in the historic district, it was nice to park the car when we arrived in town and not have to worry about moving it or find parking again until we left town a couple days later. All in all a very pleasant stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The warm welcome at the front desk by Susan (Suzanne) set the tone of our time there! Even though we were early for check-in, she was able to give us a room. We ended up close to the ice machine and the elevator! She is a gift of joy to all who enter her presence at Spark! No complaints during our stay!

Worst ever. No hot water in the shower, the "free breakfast" was just stale squished bagels and packs of oatmeal. Coffee was empty and they couldn't be bothered to make more. The carpets were dirty and the walls were paper thin. The location was good though.

We had dirty towels upon our arrival. There was a layer of dust on the shelf below the sink, and the hair dryer bag was covered in dust as well. The breakfast consisted of bagels, packaged muffins, and pieces of fruit - no hot offerings usually associated with a Hilton property. I gave it two stars due to the location, everything we wanted to do was walkable. Great coffee shop across the street.
