"Our Favorite Orlando Park by far!!!!"
July 2016
Our day at Discovery Cove was amazing! The food was great, all the snacks and drinks you could want, a relaxing environment and the best snorkeling experience I have ever had (Hawaii included!) I wish we could have spent the whole week there. A 14 day Sea World pass was included with our tickets which just sweetened the deal!! I wish I could give it 6 stars!!

"Best experience EVER!!"
June 2016
Our children were 6&8 at the time we went. We did the dolphin swim and they loved it!! The trainers were AMAZING and spent time answering the questions our 6 y/o had ( wants to be a vet / dolphin trainer, why we did this)! It totally made her day!! Having it all inclusive was awesome! As we went from area to area we could stop at the cabanas and get snacks and drinks whenever we wanted! Breakfast and lunch were also very good! The reef water was freezing (there during a tropical storm) so we only made it to our knees, but touched the rays and fish we saw! ALL the lifeguards were very friendly and genuinely seemed to like their jobs, even the ones swimming through the lazy river scooping leaves out! This is an experience you simply must do at least once!

Tip: They operate rain or shine! The lazy river does get pretty deep at points if you have little ones or weaker swimmers!

"Great visit "

We went with a group of eight adults ( 2 in wheelchairs) and two toddlers. It was a great day. There were some bad moments but not really enough to overtake the great day. We had a day packed with scheduled activities like the seaventure and shark swim. Most of the staff went above and beyond being helpful and attentive. The only negatives would be the long delay from our “start” time with the dolphin swim to actually starting. I know the dolphins need a break in between sessions but that can be made up by spacing out schedules lucky for us we divided our group and the ones with the earlier swim got us lunch which was very tasty. At the time of getting ready to leave we checked our pictures out and was getting a cd made and went back with our group to pack up and leave and an attendant would not let us back to our group to help them ( the ones on wheelchairs) but another gentleman came and let us through to go help. At this point we noticed our cd case was empty so we had to go back to adventure photo to get a new cd printed. A few extra delays but nothing to take away from a great day.

"Had a fun day"

We got there earlier like everyone said and was scheduled to do the dolphin swim at 9:25. When it came time for us to do it, they told us we were getting bumped to 12:50 (so much for getting there early). They did offer us a free photo package for being moved. Well wouldn’t you know it at 12:50 the skies opened up and it poured and lighting for about an hour and a half. Once it stopped we did get to do the swim and it was really great to interact with the dolphin. The lazy river wasn’t really our cup of tea. Didn’t seem like there was much current and you had to keep kicking to keep moving. Didn’t car for the water falls either in the lazy river. If you have younger kids watch going under them, they really hit you pretty good. At the end of the day we got our pictures and purchased a fame for one of them, when we got home to Ohio and opened the frame the dolphin on it was upside down. My wife has sent an email to them to see if they say anything. Thought the food was good but don’t walk away from you tray after you sit it down on the table, the birds will come and try and steal it. Overall was a fun day. Make sure and take water shoes along.

If you can afford it and you are going to SeaWorld upgrade you ticket to include Discover Cove, with or without a dolphin swim, it is worth the extra as it includes Aquatica, Seaworld water park and Seaworld entry for 14 days and if you include Busch Gardens in Tampa you also get free parking, saving currently $20 a day, at all parks.

"Expensive, but very fun!"

We have never been and my daughter wanted to try something different than Disney. We booked on line and added a Cabana and the dolphin swim. Here is a pretty good AAR for newcomers. The parking area is small, so take an uber or shuttle to assist. Get there early, we did and we got a great reservation time for the dolphins (its first come first serve). They did a very quick, cursory search of our bags and let us in. The line moved quick as we waited our turn to get to a kiosk. We brought some creature comforts, but found out it was not needed. Your general admission ticket comes with the following complimentary, unlimited items: towels, sunscreen, lockers, snorkeling gear, life vests, wet suits, pool noodles, drinks, snacks, and breakfast / lunch is also included. The following things can NOT be brought in: scuba gear (other than personal mask and snorkel), personal sun screen, weapons of any kind, alcohol, coolers, lawn chairs, umbrellas, and only certified service dogs are allowed (no comfort animals) for obvious reasons. The staff here is outstanding and very attentive. If you ordered a Cabana, you will be guided to your assigned area. The Cabanas are a little expensive and an overkill for a small family. They are a home run for large groups who need a "home base" for the day. They easily seat 6, but you could probably squeeze 9 in there tightly. They offer a canopy, chairs, a table, a stocked fridge, a locker, and nice privacy. Our attendant made sure we had plenty of drinks and snacks. If you didn't get a Cabana, get there early to claim your beach area with chairs and umbrella. There is one restaurant which provides a buffet style, all you can eat breakfast and dinner, both of which were good. Breakfast: scramble eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, hash browns, french toast, fruits, toasts, bagels, coffee, oj, and milk. Lunch: steak, chicken, fish, hamburgers, potatoes, chicken fingers, bbq pork, fries, salad, pasta, fruit, dessert, tea, sodas, milk, juice, beer. This place is designed to feed a lot of people a lot of hearty food - quickly; this is NOT a place for picky eaters who need soy, gluten free, non-dairy, peanut free, well done, low sodium, organic anything. It's also all you can eat, so pick something and get moving, if you don't like it or want more; go back through again. To enter the water in any area of the park, you must wear either a neoprene vest or 1/2 wetsuit (full wet suits are available when it is cold). There are plenty of lifeguards for safety and they have a zero tolerance policy on jack assery. Don't be that guy or girl. This is a family attraction and they do not wanted anyone to get injured. The attire we saw, was interesting. We saw monkey slings, banana hammocks, dental floss, and size / age inappropriate wear. There is a lot of shaded areas, beach umbrellas, but you will want sunglasses and/or a visor / hat and a waterproof phone case. Diver booties are also nice for people with soft feet. The water I'm the lagoon is about 82, the lazy river about 85, but the dolphin, shark, and scuba area is about 71 degrees. They have several bathroom / changing areas, gift shops, and bars. If you like craft beer or mixed drinks, get the alcohol package. It's worth it. Smoking is allowed, but only in a small area near the restroom. I was surprised how many people who crowded this area gobbling down their nicotine. This place easily needs a 6 - 8 hour stay to get your moneys worth and experience all of the fun areas. The dolphin experience was a lot of fun, but a little overpriced in my opinion. The staff here are excellent. Very polite and accommodating. We had a great time and I highly recommend.

"Our Anniversary could have been better"

We couldn't wait to try DC and figured why not go on our 22nd Anniversary on 5/17/19. Well, after almost 2 hours we were ready to leave, sadly. Breakfast was very sub-par. Shocking to us! Expected much better than a school cafeteria breakfast. We figured lunch would be better so we went to the Lazy River next. I cannot believe that NO one here says how bad the lazy river really was or perhaps it just lost loads of sand just before we got there. The bottom was very scratchy and dangerous. We kept stubbing our toes. (Next day my husband was limping and I could see the scrapes and cuts he received.) Then there were several 8 foot+ plus drops and some were unexpected with barely any current at all, that's why we had to push a little with our feet and swim a lot. It wasn't relaxing at all. (We almost left to go to Aquatica but didn't want to lose out on the money we spent.) I would suggest water shoes and use a float for sure! I think they should warn of that more and please for God's sake add more sand to it and some of your other areas. The floats were all busted too/ material was cracked. Looks a mess for such a beautiful resort. How about ordering new ones? Noodles would probably hold up a lot better. And try and leave 2 lines open for lunch. Was quiet busy and we didn't get to eat much cause the line got crazy when we went back at 2:30PM. Once side was closed.
