"Our Favorite Orlando Park by far!!!!"
July 2016
Our day at Discovery Cove was amazing! The food was great, all the snacks and drinks you could want, a relaxing environment and the best snorkeling experience I have ever had (Hawaii included!) I wish we could have spent the whole week there. A 14 day Sea World pass was included with our tickets which just sweetened the deal!! I wish I could give it 6 stars!!

"Best experience EVER!!"
June 2016
Our children were 6&8 at the time we went. We did the dolphin swim and they loved it!! The trainers were AMAZING and spent time answering the questions our 6 y/o had ( wants to be a vet / dolphin trainer, why we did this)! It totally made her day!! Having it all inclusive was awesome! As we went from area to area we could stop at the cabanas and get snacks and drinks whenever we wanted! Breakfast and lunch were also very good! The reef water was freezing (there during a tropical storm) so we only made it to our knees, but touched the rays and fish we saw! ALL the lifeguards were very friendly and genuinely seemed to like their jobs, even the ones swimming through the lazy river scooping leaves out! This is an experience you simply must do at least once!

Tip: They operate rain or shine! The lazy river does get pretty deep at points if you have little ones or weaker swimmers!

My family simply loves the place. Even though with the restrictions following lately, we though the place would be overcrowded, but it wasn't. Everything was organized and strict, paying attention to the COVID restrictions. We had great time with the family. I mean we always do coming here. Keep up with the good work!

"Poor enforcement of stated Covid prevention measures"

Their website and entrance instructions states that masks are required throughout the park except where noted. This was not enforced at all and it got worse during the day. This was our fourth time there and we would not have booked if we knew it was going to be so lax.

We went on Labor Day and expected a pretty big crowd (even with the COVID restrictions). It was almost empty. The breakfast and lunch that was provided was excellent. Unlimited snack and drinks. The dolphin encounter was spectacular and the trainers were informative and friendly. The Grand Reef was amazing! And that lazy river..... very relaxing. I can't wait to go back again and again.

"Disappointing, false advertising"

We went today for the first time. We were with friends who had been there many years ago and raved about swimming with dolphins. The good: -AMAZING STAFF! Everyone we encountered went above and beyond! -The reef was amazing...snorkeling with massive stingrays and colorful fish galore, and sharks behind a glass wall. -The lazy river was very relaxing and beautifully designed. It even goes through the aviary which was cool. -Lunch was absolutely delicious! I mean really good for a theme park! -includes: snacks (chips, pretzels, cookies) and drinks (including beer/wine) towels, lockers, sunscreen, shampoo, body wash. An add on premium drink package is available for $40- we opted out. The areas to improve: -The "swim with the dolphins" activity was NOT as advertised. It is hyped a lot and of course we were very excited. First there is a 30 minute briefing, video and safety talk. Then we waded out the the water, hip deep. We STOOD with the dolphins for about 20 minutes and basically had a "dolphins101" lecture. We could touch them as they quickly swam by and we gave them three simple hand commands from a distance. We posed for photos and were told exactly where to put our hands. We did NOT swim with dolphins at all...we stood with them and had VERY LIMITED INTERACTION. (Unlike the described prior experience of holding a dorsal fun and having a dolphin pull you through the water). This was VERY disappointing. -$200 to purchase photos of us standing by a dolphin...I don't think so! (No photos can be taken by you and you're too far away for anyone to take them for you) -Once you've done the dolphins and the reef there is little to do. Do not assume it is a water park. There are no rides, just a lazy river and reef for swimming. PS- expect the water to be cold: 70ish degrees! -The breakfast, although plentiful, was meh. -They were open until 6 but all pools/water activities closed at 5. (??). Lifeguards started shouting for every one to get out of the water. "All water areas in Discovery cove are now closed." -All the land animals (except birds) were on a schedule for a showing...we never got nor saw a posted schedule. I'd have like to see the sloth and otters but didn't. -They offer 50% off a second day within the week if you purchase before leaving BUT if you have the two week adjacent ticket to sea world/aquatica that is not extended to make up for the extra day (we can only go on weekends so we'd lose out on a SW/A visit by buying a second day at DC).. All in all it was a good day, and the staff is fabulous...but I wouldn't pay that much to go again.

Everything about this day was top notch. Yes, we did get a VIP Cabana and Emdey (our helper) and Tracy (photographer) couldn't have been better. From the lazy river to swimming with all the fish, it was a definite treat. I like how they give out special sunscreen that is safe for fish and wildlife. Breakfast and lunch were both generous and decent. We were lucky enough to meet Louie the Sloth!!! It absolutely made our day. This place is amazing. If there were an onsite hotel, I'd probably stay there too. 100% recommend.
