We had a great stay at Hilton Orlando! There was a volleyball tournament and a cheer competition at the convention center, as well as a large wedding at the hotel. In spite of all that, everything went very smoothly. All of the staff were friendly and efficient.

"Solid, Large Hotel - Convenient for Conventions"

Stayed at the Hilton on recent 2 day trip to Orlando and generally satisfied with the experience.  This is a large property with lots of amenities and is located next to the Convention Center and close to Sea World (5 minute drive) and Universal (15 minute drive).  Not the newest, most luxurious or impressive hotel, but a solid 4 star choice in area if find for mid-range price (which will be impacted by demand from conventions).  They have $40 resort fee - annoying but not atypical. * Large lobby area, bright and welcoming.  Check in was fairly quick and staff friendly.  Off lobby, there is a central bar and Italian restaurant * Had a double room on the 19th floor; fairly basic but spacious enough.  Highest floor gave extensive view, although faces a parking lot and Walmart distribution center.  Room was clean, although could use updating as some wear and tear.  Shower water pressure was fine. * Outdoor activities: - Large family pool.with a single waterside. Water was warm.  They also have a splash pad for younger kids, an adult pool and hot tubs.  Was fairly empty on our trip.  Not as Large and extravagant as other Orlando properties, but does the job for brief visit or at after a day at a park. - Have basketball court and some other games around the pool * Dining - Breakfast at Fastbreak (on LL near pool). Offer a large menu and fairly decent buffet with some interesting options for pastries and other foods.  Note, Adult buffet charge is $30, so daily F&B credit only covers half the cost - Had dinner at Trabucco (higher end Italian restaurant) and pleasantly surprised with atmosphere, quality and service. Tried Stratciatella pizza, Seared Grouper main and plain pasta - all were tasty.  And good Italian inspired cocktails (Amaretto Bourbon Sour).  Definitely recommend (and they provide discount for hotel guests as part of resort fee) - Had lunch and a tropical drink at the pool restaurant.  Mahi sandwich was surprisingly good * Diamond status:  they provide daily $15 credit per room up to 2 people.  I guess nice to have flexibility but doesn't cover full breakfast.  Room upgrade was to the highest floor, but same room type.

I’m in a w/c and the room wasn’t accessible. The fire alarm went off;I was on the 4th floor. Fans were used to clear out the smoke & we didn’t even receive an all clear. The hotel was accommodating when we called after it happened. Not worth the money I paid for this hotel.
