Moog Music Inc. is an American legend in the world of music engineering and technology. Located in downtown Ashville, the factory store produces handcrafted synthesizers.

Founded in 1953 as RA Moog Co. by Robert Moog and his father, Moog Music Inc was renamed in 1972. Industry leaders with top name brands such as Little Phatty and Voyager Production, Moog Guitar Production, and others, Moog Music Inc sets the standard for innovation.

The Moogseum and Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool opened down the street in the spring of 2019. Both are Bob Moog Foundation projects, a non-profit that teaches children about the science of sound through music and technology.

Displaying the future of music robotics through music composition and synthesized performances, Moog also features outdoor concerts and its infamous Moogfest (a five-day showcase of music and technical wizardry). The music technology festival celebrates the life and contribution of Moog, the man 'who turned electricity into music.'

Moog has been a part of all synthesized music from the high voltage-controlled analog computers to the theremins, electronic musical instruments controlled without physical contact by the musician.
