Good news if you don’t have a Giordano’s near you. Giordano’s can ship their frozen deep-dish pizzas anywhere in the United States, even to Hawaii, and Alaska.

These frozen pizzas are 10 inches and serve two to three people with varieties like sausage, pepperoni, cheese, or spinach.

Also, if you’re not in the mood for pizza but still have a hankering for Italian, Giordano’s is a traditional Italian restaurant.

They serve authentic spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan, fettuccine alfredo, and Mama’s homemade lasagna, as well as appetizers and delicious salads.

They have starters like Giordano’s Sampler – boneless chicken nuggets and mozzarella triangles served with Giordano’s signature marinara, and ranch.

The garlic bread is made with four cheese and herbs and their tender lightly fried calamari is mixed with lemon rings and banana peppers.

Plates of pasta and sandwiches such as the meatball sub are also popular favorites, as is the tender Italian-style beef on a toasted garlic roll with sweet peppers and spicy giardiniera. Giordano’s also has gluten-free varieties of certain meals.

Pro Tip: Good things come to those who wait. This is not fast food! Each pizza takes about 30-45 minutes to cook, but the mouthwatering, cheese bubbling portions are worth it! Thin crust options are also available and don’t take quite as long.

Giordano’s History

Known as one of the originators, Giordano's deep-dish Chicago-style pizza has grown to international acclaim.

Giordano’s story is rooted in a small northern Italian town near Torino, Italy, where Mama Giordano was famous for her renowned dishes and beloved Italian Easter Pie, a double-crusted, cheese-stuffed masterpiece of flavor.

The first Giordano’s opened in 1974 on Chicago’s historic south side. Years later, when brothers Efren and Joseph Boglio Giordano started their own pizza business, they introduced their Mama’s legendary Easter Pie to America.

Millions of patrons and critics have called Giordano’s the city’s best stuffed pizza ever. Giordano’s has been hailed “Chicago’s Best Pizza” by NBC, CBS Chicago, New York Times, Chicago Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Eater, Home & Garden Magazine, Concierge Preferred to name a few.

In 2007 Giordano’s acquired a new CEO, Yorgo Koutsogiorgas. Koutsogiorgas was born in Athens, Greece, and moved to the U.S. in 1980.

He began his restaurant industry career in Chicago and rose through the ranks quickly to become a managing partner for the Greek Island Restaurant.

In 1994, he joined forces with three partners to form Maggiano’s Little Italy. Meanwhile, Koutsogiorgas was instrumental in the restaurant’s growth and wide success.

In 2011 Giordano’s asked Koutsogiorgas to take over leadership as the company’s CEO. During his tenure, he built an exceptional team and has led impressive growth in the number of restaurants as well as sales volume and profits.

Giordano’s Legendary Recipe

Giordano’s uses signature mozzarella cheese blends, specially produced for the restaurant by skilled Wisconsin cheesemakers using only the very best from hard-working local farmers.

The cheese is aged to perfection. In addition, it is freshly shredded in-house every day to ensure the celebrated Giordano’s melt.

Fun Fact: Forbes Magazine reports during Super Bowl Sunday, Americans will collectively eat 12.5 million pizzas.

The restaurant also only uses the finest hand-picked tomatoes in its legendary Giordano’s sauce, which is also prepared fresh each day.

These particular tomatoes grow exclusively in Northern California’s Mendocino County. This area is known for producing some of the ripest, most delicious tomatoes in the world.
