Geno's Steaks in Philadelphia

Geno's Steaks, the South Philly staple is a must-eat destination for travelers. Founded in 1966, the restaurant's owner Joey Vento claims to sell up to 4,500 sandwiches daily with his variety of the best classic Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks in town.

Hundreds of framed memorabilia and celebrity photos line the walls, roof and interior of Geno's restaurant, which is open to customers 24/7. Owner Vento has appeared on shows like Good Morning America and the Rachel Ray cooking show, where he taught Rachel how to make both the true Philly Cheesesteak Classic and the Milano, made with fried tomatoes and provolone cheese. Geno's is located directly across the street from their rival, Pat's King of Steaks®.
