Briar Street Theatre in Chicago

Briar Street Theater operates a venue of over 300 seats in downtown Chicago, Illinois.

In 1990 the Blue Man Group made their debut at Briar Street, and in 1997 made the theatre their home for the past 20 years.

Originally created as a carriage house for the Marshall Field and Company's horses, Walter Topel bought the property in 1985 and reconstructed the building into a theater.

While Briar Street is most well known for housing the legendary Blue Man Group, the theater has produced many live performances and shows with notable performers such as Mickey Rooney and George Segal.

The theater is located near prime shopping and dining in the heart of downtown Chicago.
