7 Stages Theatre in Atlanta

History of 7 Stages Theatre

Since opening its doors in 1979, 7 Stages has brought Atlanta audiences local, national, and international attention by showcasing diverse artwork and presenting works from all over the world.

Main Stage 7 Stages Theatre

The theatre’s ‘Main Stage’ is 1,500 square feet and seats 200 patrons, while the ‘Back Stage’ is a 600 square feet theatre and seats 90 people. In addition, the theatre lobby is 1,300 square feet and can accommodate parties of up to 150 people.

Thursday Discussions

7 Stages presents virtual productions with its new work in the development series, Home Brew. The series offers advice through vital conversations and artistic collaboration. Meanwhile each project premiers on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and includes a post-show backstage discussion with the artist.

Food and Drink

Several nearby restaurants and bars offer pre-dinner and drinks, such as the Yacht Club, Elmyr, Porter Beer Bar, Cameli’s, L5P Corner Tavern, and the Wrecking Bar. Or the theatre’s own small cafe, Java Lords.

Performance Schedule

Check the website for performance schedules and times. In addition, the theatre is available to rent for special events. There is free street parking on Euclid Avenue, past the Horizon Theatre and Inman Park, just a short walk to the theatre.
