From ice skating to family-friendly activities, it’s impossible to be a Scrooge at this Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier.

Indoor attractions include an Arctic Express Train, the Candy Cane Lighthouse, the Chicago Blackhawks Ice Skating Rink, a Giant Decorated Tree, Winter Rules Mini Gold, and a visit with Santa.

Light Up The Lake: Chicago's Newest Holiday Adventure

Feeling a bit chilly? This indoor, temperature-controlled holiday festival at the Navy Pier features:

  • a sprawling, 600,000 twinkling light garden of large-scale sculptures comprising more than 600,000 twinkling lights
  • an Alpine ice rink
  • authentic holiday beer garden
  • kiddie train rides
  • Santa’s Merry Main Street and gift market
  • and other family-friendly and date-night activities

Light Up the Lake runs from Nov. 26 through Jan. 2. Tickets start at just $15.00, including a ride on the iconic Centennial Wheel, offering inspiring views of the city all decked out for the holidays.

*NOTE: Light Up The Lake incorporates some popular attractions of Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest, such as the ice rink and kiddie train rides, but other elements, such as the bounce houses, have been eliminated in the wake of the pandemic. Other COVID protocols, such as face masks and social distancing, may be in place in accordance with CDC guidance at the time of the visit.
