"Our experience"
May 2018
We went there for our anniversary. We really enjoyed ourselves. The brunch was delicious, the gentlemen cooking the eggs was fantastic, our server was out of this world- he was friendly, energic he didn't let us want for anything. When we arrived there was hardly anybody there (we got there around 9:15-9:30).We didn't leave until about 11:30-12:00. We were finished eating by 10:30 but we were enjoying ourselves so much that we stayed longer to enjoy the great Gospel group that was performing.
I forgot there name but it was on May 20th. They sang happy anniversary to us it was just a fantastic experience and a blessed way to start off your special day

"LORDY!"
February 2018
Great, generous brunch with great glorious Gospel songs. The staff was friendly and efficient. Because of our own schedule, we arrived at 9 (opening time) and the crowd was sparse at that time but by the time we left 10:30-11, there was a pretty good crowd, all having a great time. The Gospel group who was performing had a slight lean to a jazz sound, and musicians were spot on. OH, and the building and the absolutely stunning Folk Art display is absolutely riveting. We studied each piece (good way to meet people as you look at the art on the wall of their booth)
Can't wait to go back.

"No energy!"
August 2016
Our family has been to the New Orleans HB Gospel Brunch and it was wonderful, high energy and lively. I booked the Gospel Brunch based on our previous experience and was very disappointed! The music was fine but their was not energy in the room.....it wasn't lively at all. My husband said he almost fell asleep! Go to the Murder Mystery Dinner instead!

"very disappointed"
February 2015
This was my third time visiting the House of Blues. I enjoyed it so much last year my husband and I decided we HAD to come again... however this will be the last time.. we made reservations a week in advance and was told we HAD to be there by 9:30 because of the crowd. When we arrived there were only 20 people. ( if that ) We were seated away from the entertainment in the atrium, where it was extremely cold! I asked the waitress about moving us to another seat and she assured me that I would warm up... I remained in my coat and gloves the entire time... did I mention the place was empty! Brunch was just ok.. It was not worth the $80.00 that was spent..

Awesome evening! We had so much fun. We were actually seated across from 2 of the actors and the whole evening was very enjoyable. The food was good, and worth the money for an evening out. However, after reading some of the other reviews...If you are looking for top notch acting and not realizing this is just for fun, skip this.

"Why don't we take advantage of HOB more often?"

Simply put, we need to go to House of Blues more often. It's such a fantastic music venue, blending the feeling of a large concert hall with the intimacy of a local midsized club. Whether its a cover band such as Friday's Purple Madness (Prince), which was fantastic or a completely full house for Hootie's Monday after the Masters, we've always felt that every employee from ticket attendant to security to bartender and waitresses bring their southern charm and help deliver a great customer experience. Having now met Kayla Pestreich, who runs the music hall, it seems the entire staff is focused on the guests, which is really an anomaly in this type of business. And by the way, the Sunday Gospel Brunch just across the courtyard may be the best thing going in Myrtle Beach. Find a way to get in both in the same day.

We visited House Of Blues for the Sunday Gospel Brunch and I was so surprised at how nice and awesome the brunch was! The food was phenomenal and offered so many options! The band that played was what really set it off! It was such a moment that was definitely worth experiencing. We will be back for the Sunday Gospel Brunch when we visit again!

"Super friendly place!"

I went to House of Blues twice on my visit there in October. Both times the staff was amazingly attentive to me (I was alone). They asked my name was they took my order and were happy to make suggestions including Happy Hour specials. Stephenie and Desiree were wonderful in the bar, and Lindsey was watching out for me outside. Dominique stopped by and chatted awhile to make sure I was well taken care of by the staff. I only ate appetizers, but they were delicious, and the house wine was a good buy! I also loved the free music in the bar and outside! I definitely recommend going to the House of Blues!
