Not really kept up to Marriott brand standards in my opinion. If you are a Marriott traveler and have the card, it is a C or C- in comparison to many. Starts with Marriott brand marquis on outside is 1/2 burnt out. Outside trashcan was full and overflowing as was lobby bathroom trashcan- overflowing and trash on floor. Toilets in lobby have a plumbing problem and knock super hard/loud when flushed. We heard it throughout the night in our 2nd floor room and put on a sound machine noise to try to get to sleep. Our room did not have a Do Not Disturb hanger and we had the housekeeping knock on the door even though we did not want to be disturbed. Also missing in the room was coffee packets with the coffee machine. If you want coffee in the lobby - you do have to pay - there is nothing that is available in the lobby area like many Marriotts and other hotels where you can get coffee. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The staff are very nice. It seemed to me the owner has some work to do on the hotel and the housekeeping needs to be checked on that they are providing care with their service so guests have the basics when they check in.

Unsettling smell in the room.. Possibly the 1984 bath/shower combo. Windows were filthy, no exaggeration. Nobody has bar soap anymore.. why? It's a valid question. Breakfast.. hmmmm. If you pick to include breakfast, it should be noted, ready to put in microwave/ convection oven breakfast... So you don't think, oh, fresh cooked to order breakfast. Also.. please! There was an Asian man running the register, at the Starbucks. He was new, congenial, patient, kind. He got himself into something he " thought" he couldn't out of. His register was locked up. He is on the phone, calling. Inquiring. Asking. The chef? Preface. Chef dropped off our sandwiches, He was pleasant. Thanked us for coming in. The " chef" schooled the Asian man out loud, YES, in front of guests. There is a place and time, NO. Not now. Never should this happen. The situation calmed and fixed itself, but that man needs to get an accolade for his demeanor. He would not be defeated. He solved his problem even in a toxic situation. Stop hiring "ego's" and learn employee retention. Workplace "BULLIES" must be banned in the workplace. PERIOD

The hotel is dated but clean and the staff is very friendly. With the electronics that we all pack these days, my room could use a refresh to have enough working plugs. The clock radio and sink area works but none of the lamp plugs would hold a connection. I also find the food at the bar to be overpriced when there are so many options nearby.
