Tip: Get to the stable earlier than what they say cause there were a whole bunch of people checking in for more than riding horses like the zip lining feature.

"Great Family Fun"

The staff was super friendly, and we enjoyed ourselves. The only downfall was the people in front of us didn't know how to control their horses and slowed everyone down to a crawl.

"scared out of my mind"
April 2015
I had a good time. But, I was very scared the whole time. my horse got spoked from another horse in a field he jumped the fence and charged my horse. and my horse jumped up twice on me and was spoked and was very on edge the rest of the ride. She kicked another horse in the face. I was just scared the whole time. I recommend a guide in the front and the back. I was in the very back and the guide was 12 horses in front of me and couldn't control the situtuation . Very scary. but, I understand they can't control animals I just recommend two guides on a trip

My family and I did the horseback riding and zip lining. Everyone was super nice and the horses were well taken care of. Cindy was our horseback riding guide and she did great. My 7yr old and myself did the zip line. Alicia, sky, and Terry were awesome guides. They were great with my 7 yr old and he wasn’t scared at all. Max says high guys. Thanks for a great time. We will definitely be back.

Awesome time. Great guides. Gentle cooperative horses. My kids had never ridden and now they all want a horse. This is definitely worth doing. Highlight of our trip to The Smokies.

"MLK Weekend"

Making reservations was easy, and we even called to make a change to the time with no problem. And, they seem to be one of the few trail rides that are open in January. It is a pretty ride on a beautiful sunny yet brisk Sunday. I take away a star because the 1 hour ride is considerably less than an hour. And although the views are great with nice mountain vistas, there are considerable views and sounds of the street traffic and tourist attractions surrounding the Five Oaks area of Sieverville. Our two ten year olds loved it over and above everything else we did over the three day holiday. So all in all, money well spent.

"Guided horse tour"

My wife and I like to ride horses whenever we visit any particular area. We had recently came back from Florida and we had a great time riding horses on the beach. We decided to take our kids to Gatlinburg for a quick weekend trip. I researched the best horseback riding experiences in Gatlinburg and Five Oaks came up at the top frequently. After spending some time with our tour guide, Jess. It wasn't hard to figure out why. She was great with everyone in the entire group. We were up close to her so we got to talk to her a little bit more than the others. She was a great tour guide. Great at explaining everything to make sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, it was our children's first time horseback riding and they absolutely loved it. After being at several other horseback riding facilities in the Gatlinburg area. This was by far the best time we have had and the scenery was great as well. We will be back again probably in another month or two.

"Feeling sorry for the horses"

I rode the horses with my friend and really felt sorry for the horses. They were well fed, but...the mane was tangled up and the grooming was very poor. One traveler horse was horse was so mangled up it looked like he was a unicorn. I love horses and couldn't even pet them they were filthy. Of course I did anyways, but they were filthy. The hour we paid for was really a 40 minute ride through very deep mud. It hasn't rained in a few weeks. I rode horses at Virginia Beach and the horses was beautiful. Cades cove also tours through the woods and the horses were beautiful and groomed. I always try different tours but this one was awful. Unfortunately they were the only ones open.
