We traveled as a couple arriving on September 3, 2019 for a few days. We are repeat customers and each of our previous stays have always been great; and this stay was no exception. Upon arrival at check in time, the front desk staff was experiencing problems with their computer system which was no fault of their own. There was a heavy check in crowd. The front desk staff present that afternoon handled the situation with professionalism, courtesy and compassion. While unable to get the names of all those present, we do want to extend our thanks and appreciation to the tall lady that escorted us to our room to ensure that our temporary keys indeed worked and that the room was in order; also Jessica and Sally who also were very attentive to our needs and requests, to the young ladies that emptied our trash and brought clean towels during our stay and the maintenance gentleman that assisted us with a television problem. All of the staff members as we traveled about the grounds and throughout the buildings greeted us with smiles and warm hellos. There have been building additions and upgrades since our last visit in 2017 and we were impressed with everything that we saw. We feel that this proves that the owners of this Resort are always striving to make their occupants their top priority in providing an upgraded, clean and comfortable vacation establishment. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We felt like we would and we were not disappointed. As stated in previous reviews about this Resort, life happens; problems and hiccups can occur at any place at anytime. It is how those situations are handled that impress us about Resort at Governor's Crossing. Keep listening to the desires, wants and needs of your vacationers; and those desires, wants and needs combined with the innovative ideas of the owners and staff will continue to keep this Resort a great and awesome vacation destination. We would love to see the local information channels on the area (Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains) added to the TV channels along with larger TVs in the sections built prior to the newest Building addition or at least the same type TVs that are in the new addition. We look forward to coming back to more good times in the future. We have plans to come back before the end of 2019 and some time in 2020.

"Third time staying here awesome as usual."

We just got back today September 12, 2019 from our third stay here. We were here last year in July and seen the construction of Phase 3 taking place so this year I decided I had to go and stay here but, specifically wanted a room in phase 3 which I was able to get no problem. We booked a one bedroom w/ the bunk galley they call it. There were five of us all together and it was a tad crowded but, bearing in mind generally will rent a 2 bedroom sometimes at places even a 3 bedroom just for the extra space. Its all in what you feel comfortable in I certainly wouldnt say it was uncomfortable or anything but, we are just used to renting bigger but, thats not a big deal the room was clean as always and comfortable for the most part we felt that the beds were somewhat uncomfortable considering they were all new and in a new building which opened earlier in the year but, not a huge deal or anything. I dont know when I will get to stay with you all again but, God willing I will stay again at some point. I wanted to go on and mention the firefly cove area we walked around outside one night while there looking around pretty nice area with stuff to do. I also want to make mention even though it is geared more towards smaller children love the small addition you made to outdoor pool with the big yellow bucket that dumps water after few minutes. The waterpark areas here would be one of the big things as it probably is most people that draw me here. Its awesome how much has changed and how much The Resort has grown since we stayed here the first time in 2010. I honestly dont have anything bad to say other than mentioning about the beds being somewhat uncomfortable but, to others they may not be uncomfortable I feel something like that would vary from one person to another. Anyway just wanted to say thanks to everybody who works hard at The Resort keeping things in good shape and make the stay enjoyable. I also joined the smoky mountain rewards program which if you frequently stay here I highly recommend you sign up its free and very rewarding. Anyway just before I end this Thanks again to all the staff who keep things going good. Stayed in unit 3105 9/8-9/12/19.

"Good place to stay, but needs a few improvements"

Stayed here for three days. Pretty sure there are newer buildings, but we were in an older unit. The condo was a little dated--late 80's-early 90s vibe, but clean. The tile in the bathroom was a little grimy looking in corners. Some spots on the wall had been repaired but not painted. WiFi was unpredictable and out for half of our stay. Had to wear earplugs while sleeping because the AC just on the other side of the wall sounded like heavy equipment when running. The first night I really thought it was some kind of water truck cleaning the parking lot. Lots of children so it can be noisy at times. Stomping above us and grownups yelling at family members in the hallway at night. However, with all of that, it is decent place to stay, and it is convenient to lots of amenities. Good place for families with young children because it has a nice water park with slides, a lazy river, and pools. There was a washer and dryer in the unit. Fresh towels were delivered every day, and that was nice because some resorts don't provide that service. The staff is friendly.
